    A. Is it bad that my highest priority for this series is to beat Bumloser? I just really hate the guy and would love to see him drop to 0-2, especially since he hasn't had a winning season since '16.
    B. I get the reason why, but it's still comical that we've waited until game 5 to let Urias pitch. Hoping he excels and never lets go of his starting role.
    C. Gonna miss Kershaw in this series. His ownage of the Gnats is epic.
    D. What's the over/under on games Roberts costing us with stupid platoons? I say 1.5.

We face 3 lefties this series. I hope muncy/Bellinger face at least 2 and verdugo gets one start.

Just cause it’s 3 lefties also doesn’t mean Pollock should start all 3. I think they need to sit him a lot cause I’m fearful of an injury

I don't buy into the "Pollock is injury-prone" narrative. He's had some fluke injuries. Take away the broken elbow, take away the broken thumb, and you're left with one groin strain that's cost him significant time. I'm not any more concerned about overuse causing him to get injured than I am any other regular on the team.

Hmm, that’s partially true, I can see that. But at end of the day, he’s played 1 full season in his career. My main thing is that he seems to struggle when he comes back from injury and given that he hasn’t played a full season in awhile, you don’t want him tiring out at end of year

    my sentiments exactly
averaging 79 games the last three years <115 the last two
no sense tiring him out when we'll probably need him to be strong down the stretch

Dodgers to host the Giants for three-game series
by Elizabeth Islas | True Blue LA — 53 minutes ago

The Los Angeles Dodgers (3-1) will play the San Francisco Giants (1-3) for their second home stand of the 2019 season. Last year, the Dodgers bested the Northern California team in the season series, 10-9.

    MONDAY 7:10 PM PDT
After it was announced Julio Urías would start the season in the bullpen, injuries in the starting rotation (Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill) made way for him to take their place. With that, the Dodgers send Urías on the mound to open the series against the Giants. Urías, who hasn’t made a major league start in nearly two years, is focused on providing the Dodgers with a strong outing against the team’s rival.

Though it is a small sample size, Urías had a solid showing down in Arizona for Spring Training. In 15 2⁄3 innings pitched, he allowed just five hits and four runs, struck out 15 and posted an ERA of 1.72.

The last time Urías faced the Giants in a regular season game was on May 3, 2017, when Urías faced 21 batters and did not allow a run on four hits.

Drew Pomeranz will be on the mound on Monday night, making his debut in a San Francisco jersey. Pomeranz was acquired from the Boston Red Sox during the offseason. In Boston last year, he pitched 74 innings with a 6.08 ERA. He did not face the Dodgers in 2018.

    TUESDAY 7:10 PM PDT
Hyun-Jin Ryu makes his second start of the season on Tuesday.

Ryu is coming off of his solid Opening Day start, where the Dodgers bats outshined his lights-out pitching. He was incredible - his outing lasted six innings and he struck out eight batters while allowing just four hits and one home run off of Adam Jones.

Last season against San Francisco, Ryu started in three games but only got one decision, which happened to be in the win column. In these three games, Ryu was able to snag a 1.53 ERA.

The Giants are sending veteran pitcher Madison Bumgarner to the mound to take on the Dodgers’ stacked lineup.

Bumgarner got the Opening Day start for his ball club and got higher numbers than Ryu in every aspect. Bumgarner threw 92 pitches in seven innings, allowing just five hits and two earned runs while striking out nine. Those two earned runs would be enough to receive the loss, since the Giants were shut out, 2-0, by the San Diego Padres.

Bumgarner is no stranger to facing the Dodgers. In 32 pitching appearances, he has a 2.66 ERA.

    WEDNESDAY 7:10 PM PDT
The Dodgers turn to right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling to end out the seven-game home stand. Stripling makes his return to the mound after a no-decision in the 13-inning game on Friday night.

Stripling threw 5 1⁄3 innings against the Diamondbacks without allowing a run on three hits and a walk. He also struck out five batters. But, despite his performance, it almost seems like tradition to pull Stripling early in his starts. He was held to just 76 pitches in his first outing this season, with manager Dave Roberts explaining this was his plan from the get-go. It’s likely we’ll see Roberts place another pitch-limit on the 29-year-old.

The Giants are sending Derek Holland in game three of the series versus the Dodgers. In his career against the Dodgers, Holland is 0-3 with a 4.56 ERA.

Holland received the loss in his first start in 2019. He tacked up three earned runs, four hits, two walks and five strikeouts in just four innings.
