I'm assuming one of those is Dodger hater (going back to his days as a player in SF) Bob Brenly. Complete ass.

Bad and stupid baseball. Could have easily lost all three to one of the worst teams in the game.

Sloppy in the field and the bases and an almost total lack of hitting with RISP.

I dreamt about Satchel Paige...and he kept on saying, " don't look behind you...someone might be gaining on you".
It's almost like a script being followed to the letter.
Written by a guy named Machado...

    Oh definitely...he's a asshole.
But even a broken clock is right twice a day.
The way the Dodgers are playing right now, in so many ways, it's hard to watch and cringeworthy in my opinion. And they have been very, very lucky against bottom tier teams, as you wrote.
It's also not difficult to accept this team giving it up. All you need do is watch the level they play at these days.
Whatever records they break, or however described in glowing terms by this one or that one, it's in their DNA to fail. Ultimately.
That is really the only 3+ decade constant about them that rings unflinchingly factual.

We almost got swept by both the Rockies and DBacks. Now we get two teams with a chip on their shoulder and our matchups circled in jizz on their calendar. This time next week we should have a good idea of what our team is made of. We have all of one starting pitcher, what could go wrong?

Seems almost against logic our W/L with a SR like we have, now even more tenuous than ever with May's "contusion "...
Gonsolin learning on the fly, Urias a paper Chihuahua, and take your pick what Buehler has become. All I know, the superlatives spoken about him are buried in the past to a great deal, behind his blister blitz.
I can't help thinking that they made a serious blunder letting Ryu and Maeda leave...Ryu doesn't give it up, and although I'm not a huge supporter of Maeda, he showed up every turn. They thought three kids and Stripling were as good ? Guess so. Kinda risky going with what we had...Oh, I forgot Wood. He looks like he's tossing a bowling bowl up there, and it must look that big to batters.
And with Muncy, Bellinger and Turner contributing very little for various reasons, it's a bit head scratching.
Belli and Max are just stinking up the place, period. For the whole season, basically. P U.
And Seager, for all his raking, does give it the oppo with periods of really shaky defense. Idk about Lux, his throwing is very strange and amateurish.
Good thing we've got Betts...as I previously wrote, where would this team be without him ?
And if last night wasn't an prime example of Robots moronic approach to things, pink skates aren't gay.
Hope the incredible luck holds out.
    Yup.
    Luck.

I have no idea what the team's plan is, but as thin as the starting rotation was, losing starting pitchers is about the worst thing the team could face. And now it's happened. t looks like the FO will be forced to add someone to the 40-man roster from the alt-training site, which I think they were trying to avoid. Josiah Gray is the one on everyone's watch list, but Edwin Uceta and @ColoradoKidWitGame 's boy, Michael Grove could be on the short list as well. They could go with a bullpen game where they try to get extended innings from Mitchell White or Alex Wood. None of these options are particularly reassuring. Having someone test positive for COVID might be our best course of action at this point.

I will stop perseverating on this, it's been reported that there will be no reseeding before the NLDS, so the winner of #1 vs 8 will play the winner of #4 vs 5 no matter what happens in the other bracket.

Congrats to the #1 seed Padres and #5 seed Phillies.

The locations for the bubbles have been announced too. As expected: Globe Life Field, Minute Maid, Petco, and Dodger Stadium. The one interesting tidbit is that the WS, NLCS, and NLDS with the highest seeded team will all be in Globe Life Field, so in all likelihood the Dodgers’ path to a WS would play out all in one spot.

According to Jeff Passan, some Dodgers players are said to not be happy with the bubble proposal because they don’t want to spend a month isolated from their families. The MLBPA has yet to sign off on it.
