I've seen reports to suggest McGee is already a Free Agent, including Ken Gurnick listing him as a Free Agent. As far as I can tell his option hasn't been officially declined, but I looked it up and saw that the Rockies would be on the hook for his $2 million buyout if it is. I think it's safe to say the option will be declined.

Wouldn't worry about Turner leaving. Pretty sure he took less money to stay the 1st time around. Just make a respectable offer. What cannot happen - one of the best post season hitters in franchise history leaves a team that lives in the postseason. Wanna win again? Figure it out

As for Joc - now, we say he'll get a solid multi-year offer from a team on the open market. Wasn't the case after his poor reg-season ended. Why? Because dude just shows up and plays big in the postseason seemingly every year. At this point, it's a thing. Have to value it. About an .850 career OPS VS postseason pitching. 100+ pts above average. So also no real reason to let Joc leave if they want to continue to do well in the fall. The multi-year deal should come from the Dodgers. Gotta start shedding some of the money making dead weight like Pollock and Jansen. Take whatever they can get

Sitting on it a few days I’d predict they keep Turner and Baez, everyone else goes.

Just saw a report from Yahoo that says they did officially decline his option, so we can scratch that!

    • In a somewhat stunning move, nobody claimed Brad Hand and the Indians have declined his option. The club also declined options on former Dodgers prospect Carlos Santana and Domingo Santana.
    • Another reliever coming off of a solid year, Brandon Kintzler had his option declined by the Marlins. A common theme for Kintzler, his ERA told a better story than his FIP, which was an atrocious 5. He was excellent in his 3 postseason outings and was only going to be owed $4M this year.
    • The White Sox declined options on Edwin Encarnacio and Gio Gonzalez. Both were terrible this season.
    • The owners approved Mets new owner Steve Cohen who is saying that he plans to put a lot of money into the club.
    • The Cubs chose a $10M buyout over bringing Jon Lester back for an additional $15M. Lester was considered below average for the second consecutive year and this could mean the end to his career.

the funniest thing that could happen this off-season is the Dodgers trading for Lindor. I don’t think it’s likely, for plenty of reasons, but it’d be the funniest thing

Late 90's Yanks would have a giggle. They won it all in dominant fashion in '98..only to add Clemens the next year for the repeat in '99. Then in 2000 they added David Justice who was still pretty damn good..he hit 40 HRs that year and of course they won the WS again. 3peat. Dynasty secured.

Moral of the story is - the LAD FO really doesn't have to reinvent the wheel here. Said before last season that I would've traded Lux and May for Lindor. Still feel the same. Whether that means Lindor plays 2B, or that Corey slides to 3B..whatever. Not that I don't believe in Lux or May..they're just wet behind the ears and the ball is now rolling towards a potential dynasty. Spec hugging should be minimal right now. Now that Buehler has set himself apart, the heavy lifting is over when it comes to the rotation. Particularly if Julio falls in line behind him

The Yankees have been a MASH unit for the past two years. I have a feeling that’s gonna hamper them in the years to come, whether they sign Joc or not. Too bad since they seem to have the pitching now. Maybe that series against the Astros was the closest they are going to come to a WS for the next few years.

Did anyone catch Harold Reynolds trying to race bait Mookie and failing miserably? Lol.

Harold: "Everyone is talking about how you're the only African American in the world series. What do you think about that?"

Mookie: "Uh,this is the first I've heard it."

Harold, just because a few blue check marks who will probably be unemployed before too long are talking about it, doesn't mean everybody is talking about it. Retire already.
