    Build the dynasty...a huge step towards doing it.
    Would like to write more, but fatigue and anticipation of another Nor'easter on it's way this weekend, preventing me from a lucid response.
    Shit is getting very wearing...

    I was going to say "that goes without saying,"... but really, it never gets old.

    Just for laughs I took a look at their projected starting lineup this year, to see how many would crack the Dodgers lineup. Keep in mind that they're projected by many to finish 3rd in the division.

    https://www.mlb.com/giants/news/giants-2021-opening-day-roster-projection

    In LF, Mike Yaz is a given. Possibly Longoria at 3B if JT is not signed, otherwise no. Belt and Solano had career years last season, but both are outliers to the rest of their career and I wouldn't bet on them repeating, so no. Posey is more of a mentor at this point, so no. As far as their rotation goes, Gausman is probably their ace. There's no way he breaks into our top five. I'd even go as far as to say that either of whichever two of Urias, May, and Gonsolin are bumped from our rotation as it's presently constructed could be the ace on that team - by season's end if not on opening day.

    So at this point there's 1.5 players on that team that could start on LAD. That warms my heart.

    I still think it's Kershaw.

    It's been so damn long since we won it all, I think Julio should pitch the opener for being a tough mofo when he needed to be. Reward the ese
    I don't think anyone else would mind.
    Team loyalty and chemistry and all that ...

    LOL, the wife and I went up to the mountains today to look at a cabin for us when we want to get away. Naturally right when I lost cell service for several hours, the announcement came in. I will have to say, hearing it announced on MLB Radio live and Casey Stern having his heart utterly broken as it was happening, helped me like Bauer a bit. Holy shit, dude was soooo happy and talking all sorts of shit about how great the Mets were going to be and then just spiraled into bitter despair. I think I witnessed the 7 stages of grief in a matter of minutes. Shocked at how it went down to be honest. I did not see us going to $40 fucking million a year, but Friedman got someone to finally take one of these deals. Well... Buehler came out and said that Bauer is a friend of his and a number of guys in recent days have said they enjoyed, including Lindor so maybe he has changed since my contacts knew him. I will root for him as I always have our players, but I hope this mother fucker doesn't regress and he's my Shane Victorino 2.0(FUCK THAT GUY, BTW).

    As for going forward, a lot of speculation now after what I threw out earlier. People think that the Dodgers are going for the jugular. Apparently they have circled back in on Ozuna and he is their backup if Turner doesn't sign. I also can imagine that they are getting A LOT of calls about our young pitching right now. Could be an interesting couple of days.

    Even Buehler says Kershaw is the ace of this team until the day he retires and he said he has absolutely no issue with that.

    Braves felt the heat

    @ByRobertMurray
    Source: Marcell Ozuna and the Atlanta Braves are in agreement on a four-year, $65 million deal, pending physical. It can reach $80 million.

    Now, with no universal DH for 2021 (at least for now), the stars are aligned for Nelson Cruz to return to the #Twins while Marcell Ozuna's chances to return to Atlanta is diminished.

    Does that mean that tomorrow the Dodgers will sign Ozuna to a 3 year 75 million dollar contract?
