Not a detective, but a feared lawman nonetheless.

    • If you watched the game last night, we got our first look at Nick Robertson who garnered some headlines after his appearance. He has been noted by some scouts as a power reliever to watch and last night showed why. The 2019 and has seen an incredible uptick in his stuff since joining the Dodgers and the feelings within and outside the organization are that he is going to zoom up to the majors as soon as this season.
    • Nice piece on Bobby Miller by BA. More interview than anything, but he said that the Dodgers have helped him get more direct to the plate and showed him better grips for his secondary pitches which has caused noticeable separation from his slider and curveball. 4-seam has also seen a jump in spin rate that is causing problems for hitters.
    • BA also dropped their top 20 Int'l prospects for the year ahead and interestingly enough, the Dodgers for the first time in a while have NO connections to any of the top 20 prospects. I am not finding a reason why since we are usually always near the top of that and I don't remember hearing that we lost our bonuses.

    • Michael Busch with a homer tonight and Hoese had a blast the other day. Busch already looks like a major league hitter up there with his approach. His homer looked like he a ball he JUST missed, but it got out. Dude could be a stud.
    • Pepiot was fighting his command tonight and his change got walloped a couple times when it flattened out and the Reds were not fooled by much. I know a lot of people are excited for him, but he looks like a guy who may still be 1-2 years out as his control is probably not there yet. This isn't really a surprise based on everything I have heard, but more a "pump the brakes everyone!". I would also hate to see them give up on him as a starter already, which him becoming a reliever is the only way he should get called up in the next 1.5 years.
    • Gray has been OK in the early going. He has gotten some nice swing and misses, but he too is battling command issues out the gate. Not really worried about him and he is another guy that will probably be longer out before we see him.
    • Devin Mann roped a nice oppo 2-strike double. He could be an interesting watch this season.
    • We will see Keibert Ruiz in game action this week. Roberts said he did a great job of getting ramped up off site so he was ready to go once he was cleared.
    • Bobby Miller just looks like a dude that pitches at the front of a rotation.

Hey what can anyone tell me about this Royals spec Bobby Witt Jr? He's 20 yrs old, #2 pick in the 19 draft, hasn't played past rookie ball, and is crushing it in ST this year.

From BA, who like many others, have him at #1 for their system

    Hitting: 60. Power: 60. Running: 60. Fielding: 60. Arm: 60.

TRACK RECORD: The son of 16-year major league pitcher Bobby Witt, Bobby Jr. has been around the game his entire life. He blossomed into a regular at premier national showcases while at Colleyville (Texas) Heritage High and shined on the national stage when he won the high school home run derby in Washington prior to the 2018 All-Star Game. He won the High School Player of the Year award in 2019 and was drafted second overall by the Royals. He signed for a franchise-record $7.789 million. Witt made his pro debut in the Rookie-level Arizona League and was slated to head to full-season ball in 2020 before the coronavirus pandemic canceled the minor league season. He spent the early days of the pandemic working out with major and minor league players near his Texas home, joined the Royals for summer camp in July, spent the remainder of the season at their alternate training site and finished up at instructional league camp at Kauffman Stadium.

SCOUTING REPORT: Witt projects as a premier starting shortstop with five impact tools. He struggled a bit in his pro debut and raised concerns about how much he swung and missed, but that’s now a distant memory after he began getting more aggressive in his approach. He showed signs of turning the corner at 2019 instructional league and took a big jump in 2020 while facing more advanced pitchers. Witt’s hit tool is borne through plus bat speed and a short, compact, low-maintenance swing. The swing-and-miss concerns disappeared with his improved approach, and he vastly improved hitting with two strikes. He now projects to be at least an average hitter, and possibly plus. Witt’s plus power has never been in question, and there is now increased confidence he will make enough contact to get to it regularly. Already a plus runner with solid instincts on the bases, Witt worked regularly with Royals coaches to become even better instinctually. There is no doubt about him defensively. He projects to be a solid shortstop with elite hands, a good first step and good body control, rounding out the package with a plus, accurate arm. Witt also saw time at third base during the summer and handled the position well.

THE FUTURE: Witt still has to show he can maintain his improved approach and contact skills over a full season, but there is now increased confidence that he will reach his ceiling as an all-star shortstop in the mold of Troy Tulowitzki. Even with the missed season, he made enough progress that a Double-A assignment seems likely at some point in 2021.

James Loney is a future batting champion. If we play him at first, Delmon Young at second, Slot Andy LaRoche at third, along with Kemp, Russ and Ethier, we’ve got a dynasty!

That's a shame. Not that your bro is a Commie, but that some choose to stay away because of a difference of opinion.

    , I don't give a shit about your politics.

If you like open borders, an expanded welfare state, abortion up to birth, no school choice, the green new deal, packing the supreme court, giving DC and PR statehood, taking guns away, legislating free speech, mandatory critical race theory in the public sector, lockdowns, the iran deal, paris climate accord, defrauding courts to spy on your opponents, vaccine passports, limited qualifications to vote, etc. etc. I DO NOT CARE. I'm genuinely happy to hear why those things are great (even if it sounds like I'm being a dick).

What bothers me is the 5 years of torture (bless the man who was the main target), gaslighting, cheating, violence, and projection that was used to get what you want.

I would've loved to hear about all your great ideas (you probably have way more than me). But it was about hating a man SO MUCH and projecting that hate on he and half the country.

I will never understand how a democrat can be pushed to leave a forum of any kind out of frustration related to political disagreement.
You have schools, media, big tech, Hollywood, sports leagues, and every major corporation evangelizing for you 24/7 (and doing a good job of it).
FBI and CIA are on your side.
Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook are eliminating your opponents' ability to influence, coordinate, and raise capital.
Your judges are allowed to circumvent the legislative branch to change voting laws.
When you are down millions of votes on election night, you're allowed to shut down polling stations and count for weeks until you win with no recourse or scrutiny.
Your potato pResident, VP, and multiple congresswomen can be guilty of everything Trump was "impeached" for (and more) with no accountability.
Even your 'enemies' are really democrats.

Dudes...who cares what a few people on DSP like me or anyone else think? Just rest easily knowing your worldview has become self-evident and irrefutable with the whole system fighting the battle on your behalf.

Enjoy the misery you've sentenced us to.

If true then that's as soft as it gets

I really don't give a shit where people stand politically as long as they're not in my face about it. People are always going to see the world differently and disagree on many topics but it seems like some people can't handle the fact that the entire world doesn't see their way. If we all shared the same perspective on everything, the world would be a boring place. I had to delete all forms of social media because it was ruining the image I had of many family members and friends. Logging in and seeing the same people spending countless hours angrily debating politics with people is not my cup of my tea. I avoid political talk like the plague because it seems to bring out the worst in everyone and people can't just respectively disagree.
