This is a really bad loss and not a good look.

I mean I don't care if Dave Roberts himself has to bat....guys like Peters/Rios belong in the minors. They're not even close to resembling a MLB player. Look like random fans out there that won a raffle

    Indeed.
On this team with an embarrassment of riches, is Rios, Nelson and Graterol part of the riches?
Imo, they are just the embarrassment. Nothing else. If I never saw any of them again, it would be OK.
Losing the season series so far is not the apocalypse for sure. But giving up a 6 run lead exactly as scripted in Padre heaven is epic Dodger failure. Cringe- worthy on every level.
I think we were outmanaged last night, and Tinkler is every bit equal to what Roberts can do.
This will be an albatross all season.
But like the HoF mgr., Joe Torre once spoke, " it's not where you are in April, its where you are on the last day of the season"...therein lies the rub, possibly this time around.
Fully expect SF to be every bit the problem the Padres are too.
    And the injury bug...

The Mookie taint licking is getting a little much right now.
Close your eyes and pretend you don't see what you do...then, it's not so bad.

The RISP thing bit them in the ass as much as anything last night. Epic failures and not just by the inexperienced.

Nelson wouldn't have been put in that position if Price, Bazooka and Victor hadn't shit themselves.

Mookie's been shit since he returned from his back issues and Seager hasn't been much better.

i do get needing to get the rust off Brusdar and especially Price early in the season
but it would have been nice to get that win
obviously SD is going to battle this year and it makes for exciting games
we were clearly pitching around Tatis and that's never a good idea putting runners on
other than that leaving the bases loaded 3 or 4 times always comes back to bite you on the ass
be nice if guys could start driving the ball again

That was a nationally televised game on ESPN with renowned Giant homer Chris Berman doing the game. Made the epic collapse that much more repulsive.

Price was scheduled to throw another inning, but was dealing with a hamstring issue so he was limited to one inning.

Chris Berman is all that is wrong with sports broadcasters. He took shock sports radio juvenile shtick and put it on TV, and the public is worse for it.

Also a 49er fan. Strike two (in my book).

Speaking of OC restaurants, did you ever frequent The Fish Co. in Los Alamitos?

I remember you sharing that story....how disgusting.

I've always heard he was a POS in real life and I am not surprised.

I can't stand that announcing style.

When I tune into watch a college basketball game and Dick Vitale is on air, I mute it immediately.
