so trea sees two pitches last night hits a long fly ball foul, then pops out and roberts feels that's all he needs to make an assessment... "he took some good swings. he didn't come up with a hit, but you can tell he's a pretty special player." really dude? two pitches and you can see what a special player he is what an amazing eye for talent you must have... except that you've spent all season watching kenley and cody and still, somehow, can't see what's right in fucken front of you!!! idiot
but which scenario?... padres will take a 1-run lead in the top of the 10th then we'll load the bases with no outs and not score cody striking out on three pitches to end the game or... kenley gives up 5 runs without recording an out
Good post, Devil. You're absolutely right. Lots of guys can make the traditional, mechanical moves that are the foundation of managing a baseball team...hell, half the guys on this website could probably. But when it comes to the creativity and gut moves that bring out champions, even under adverse conditions, Dave is an amateur. He's had his fifteen minutes of fame that's lasted for what, six years, now ? Gotta be time for someone else to give this team they've assembled a different path instead of the worn down one everyone else knows Davey walks. The talent is there, but the leadership is not.
I thought for sure the Angels had a lefty leading off the inning when I saw Cleavinger in the game. Nope. It was Jose Iglesias who has far better stats vs lefties than righties on the season. Imagine if we had just led off the inning with Bru who looked excellent. I feel like a big reason for our lack of success in extras this season is our boom or bust approach. We actually scored the ghost runner last night but it seems like a lot of times that the guy at second doesn't even advance. So many strikeouts or weak fly outs due to swinging for the fences while our opponents keep the ball on the ground and at least advance the runner and get them home. Factor in the approach on offense with the fact that none of our best bullpen arms ever seem available by the time we reach extras and it's no wonder we are historically bad Do not see it changing in the future....If a game is tied after 9 in the future, I am turning it off and accepting the loss.

What the fucken fuck!?! Who puts a 13-game hitting streak, 23-game on base streak on the bench? Especially when the team isn't exactly lighting up the scoreboard. Who does this shit? Not that the streaks themselves are important, but I'm sure Davey will PH AJ and he'll have one shot to keep them going. More importantly, and bottom line - he's letting Cody find himself at the expense of the team.
Imagine if the Dodgers were just a mediocre .500 in extra innings... we'd be leading the West. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/this-doesn-t-make-any-sense/ar-AAN2Yt0?ocid=msedgntp And Nelson needing TJ surgery is a hell of a gut punch.
Easier money.......the Dodgers losing in extra innings or the a Kenyan winning a marathon. I know, I know.
The worst. Just the fucking bottom of the barrel, man...holy shit. "The names keep coming at ya in this Dodger lineup"...but the hits don't, that's for sure.
