LOL at Cody Bellinger and Chris Taylor coming up huge for us tonight after failing to post an ops of .400 in September.

    I love it.

    So happy

The Cardinals ripped our hearts out so many times over the years.....love seeing their dejected faces in the dugout.

    Buehler-Urias-Scherzer?

Not too shabby....I expect a loose club after the win tonight.

    Mad props to:
Cody Bellinger, the unsung hero who kept the inning going, and stole a huge base
Kenley Jansen - with a dominant 3 strikeout inning
And Dave Roberts- let’s be honest here, he managed the game perfectly with the bullpen. Scherzer should have come out exactly when he did even if he didn’t want to.
Also of course Chris Taylor with the big hit and pretty important catch earlier.
A few guys some love to bag on came up HUGE hit

Amazing to think that Dodgers basically had an All-Star on the bench, who came up with the big hit.

Went to the game tonight and it was epic! Eerily quiet at the beginning and loud AF at the end. Perfect!

The Bellinger walk will live in infamy in St. Louis.

Kenley's recovery from his midseason slump is nothing short of amazing. His shelf life as a closer should have been over.

I cringed when Scherzer was taken out even though he was an accident waiting to happen. Second guessers would have had a field day if that move had backfired.

The Taylor catch, especially considering he was just inserted into the game, was outstanding. Not an easy play.

Love how the roster was put together. Gave Roberts lots of options. No need to carry 13-14 arms in a one game scenari0.

No problem with El Tio hacking 3-0. He was up there to hit one out and he got a good pitch. Hit it hard right at CF.

Aside from all the obvious stuff, the best thing for me was when Robots came out to lift Scherzer, he didn't give him the ball..he shook hands with him.
Yeah, for me, that rates up there with Bobby Valentine and his Groucho Marx disguise after getting tossed.

Being one the biggest critics of Roberts and Bellinger, I have to give them both credit for this game. Roberts definitely pushed all the right buttons, and Bellinger extended innings thrice. How many times have we seen Cody flail away at pitches out of the zone? Not yesterday - he was picking up the location well.

So happy for CT. He needed that. Hopefully the momentum carries over.

Urias was warming in the pen and was probably pitching the 10th. That would've wrecked havoc on our rotation in the NLDS. So awesome that we avoided that with the 9th inning walk off.

Joe West - I actually think he called a good game. Hoping we see him again before he retires, because the alternative probably means elimination.

I'm not a fan of champagne celebrations early in the playoffs, but now that they won it last year, it doesn't bother me as much.

Something tells me we'll see a sharper Scherzer in game 3. Just a hunch.

    Roster construction was sophmoric, imo.
Had that game not had it's classical, heroic ending, we would have a huge disadvantage in a long game. Wou!ld have had to use Julio for God knows how long, definitely affecting his use against the SFags on Saturday, unless your starting Gonsolin. Could have rendered Urias gassed and overused by limiting his usable roster pitchers. That's the options we easily could have had...none at all. We got lucky at the very end.
After burning Lux, the HoF group of Mc Kinstry, Sousa, and Raley were useless...especially since Pujols was going to swing at any pitch in the vicinity of the K zone with a 3-0 count.
Had to be one of the greatest games ever.
