Ditto. I was surprised I stayed with it until the end, but it was a close game. But too bad it was contingent on one call that should have been absolutely been called, and one that absolutely shouldn't have been. If you establish a " let them play" environment for 55 minutes of the game, then should it become a " no touching at all" fiasco in the last minutes ? Imo, looked almost suspicious... But congrats to you LA fans, as JPL wrote.
Agree on the calls on the final drive, but you can't ignore the facemask non-call which directly resulted in a Bengal TD.
Donald's pressure on Burrow on the last play of the game more than likely prevented a long TD to Chase.
was watching w mom and that's exactly what i said before that play i knew the weren't just going for a first
Wow, that's crazy. To think that had he not been pressured, there'd be a different champion today. And it shows how impactful Donald is on the game. No wonder why so many say he's the best player in the league.
thought for sure there would be co mvp's Donald made so many plays and on 3rd down of that drive he was falling forward and pulled the rb w him w one extended arm to stop the first seemed like he was in on almost every tackle
Not sure if that's what lit his fuse, but he seemed to hit another gear after that sideline scuffle after he pushed Burrow out of bounds. You don't poke the bear.
With football now over, baseball having NOTHING to talk about, Lakers lost to me ever since they sold their soul to Lebron, and hockey never having been an interest to me, there's a definite sports lull in my life. I guess there's the winter olympics, but I'm assuming they're almost over. How much longer until March Madness?
Might be the most egotistical athlete I've ever seen in my life. Never seen a guy pat himself on the back as much as LeBron. Probably has a statue in his mansion of himself that he stares at for hours a day.
I think some people just have problems with names that are classically phonetic if not literally so. The Phoenicians wrote in consonants but the Romans wanted to use vowels too and so they went to war. The mighty king of Tyre hath fallen and Babylon with it and so we are under the lore of the Caesar of the maritime kingdom of Rome. Mary's time has virtually no end in sight. It's roads the jets streaming to your shores. The time for seriousness is over. Time to have some fun. In the navy! I got my frogsuit at the ready. And in sharpening my harpoon. I will spot you the harmonic sum phonics if you spot me the long vowels. We make repository building to store classics in case video accidentally burning, yes comrade? LTRN.TV Everyday classics are made but quickly fade away into the maelstrom of fiery chaos. There is not much to do about such fires as they are everywhere in the underworld. On the surface though, we can still save water for when there's no rain. Do you law the lore I parley?
Just look at his speech afterwards. He threw his team under the bus and took 0 accountability for the loss. Those kids were under tremendous pressure to perform due to him announcing his retirement prior to the season. He's always been a very sore loser and can barely look other coaches in the eye after Duke loses. I felt like this farewell tour was just a way for K to have his already huge ego stroked. To each their own though....I think he's a guy you either love or dislike. I personally just think he is very fake like his buddy LeBron. Will admit that I am far from subjective when it comes to K as I went to UNC haha
I dislike him because he is as fake a person as it comes. He has carefully branded a public marketing image of himself as a management guru, good-guy in all the seedy college football corruption that goes on year after year, but he is no better than the rest of them. He has had a history of players that have done underhanded things which he says is unacceptable, and yet they are back on the court is a game or two…..whether it be stomping on a player while he’s flat on his back on the floor, to tripping other players multiple times with no consequences. His players have done a myriad of sneaky things and gotten away with it. He basically blackmailed Duke when the played rumors of being the Laker coach against the “only home he’s known” in Duke and got a massive increase in his salary, carte blanche in his program and the professorship, essentially giving himself tenure. He’s a Knight apologist that has employed the same “techniques” to “motivate” his players and gets away with it because no one, and I mean NO ONE, disagrees with coach K. I hate him as a coach, a person, and all the teams he’s ever coached….and a fair number of his players, college and now pro.
