So who are our projected starters? Urias, Buehler, Kershaw then?

Is Dustin May going to be available for the whole season? I guess Bauer is still out of the question for now.

Don’t tell me we need to start David Price.

may won't be back until mid-season, and then only as a reliever
    wouldn't count on bauer
so for now it's probably price, heaney, white, nelson and gonsolin battling for 4-5
that'll likely put a heavy load on the bullpen
but if friedman can somehow pry castillo loose from the reds...

    edit:
    fwiw, remaining free agent starters
    not real promising

    Tyler Anderson
    Brett Anderson
    Chris Archer
    Jake Arrieta
    Trevor Cahill
    Johnny Cueto
    Zach Davies
    Thomas Eshelman
    Mike Fiers
    Mike Foltynewicz
    Chi Chi Gonzalez
    J.A. Happ
    Wade LeBlanc
    Michael Pineda
    Matt Shoemaker
    Drew Smyly
    Jose Urena

    @JeffPassan
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Tampa Bay Rays are in agreement on a trade that will send outfielder Luke Raley to Tampa Bay for Double-A reliever Tanner Dodson, who has played outfield in the past as well, sources tell ESPN.

This almost excites me as much as the Freeman signing. No longer have to watch Luke Raley swing and miss on pitches down the middle.

between Anderson, Heaney, Nelson, and Duffy, it just feels like a fuck ton of wasted money that could've been used for something better.

Adios Kenley…1 year 16 mill with the Braves. His tenure as a Dodger was a roller coaster but I can’t say I’ll miss him.

That's how I feel too. It was a real roller coaster for me with Kenley. At times I had all the confidence in the world when he was on the mound. Other times I wanted to throw something through my TV . Some times his stuff was electric, sometimes he had to gut out saves with me on the edge of my seat, and sometimes... well, we'd have been better off with the actual AMPM mascot out there. He was stubborn for so long to not develop a secondary pitch - he over-relied on the cutter. In all, looking back at his Dodger career, it was significantly more good than bad, and I suspect he will remain the all-time team saves leader for quite a while (he has more than double than Gagne, who's next best on that list). He may still find further success as a MLB'er, and I truly hope he does. But his walk rate was at a career high last season, and something tells me that we're parting ways at the right time.

Unless his ticker has a different path for him...he's young enough for it not to. He was as automatic as humanly possible for a good while...and alternately a heart break at the worst times possible.
It will be interesting to see how he fares...

I'll continue to root for him - except for when facing LAD - and follow his ascension up the MLB career saves leader board. He's currently 13th. Assuming he closes all year for Atlanta, he can realistically move past Percival, Reardon, Papelbon and Nathan this year. In 2023, he can pass Eck. From there it depends how much longer he plays (and closes), and how much longer Kimbrel plays, who's currently 22 saves ahead. If I had to guess, I'd give him around 90 more saves which would end his career at #4-5 on the list (depending on Kimbrel).

It's crazy to think that he's only pitched for 12 seasons, while Mariano played 19, Franco 21, and Eckersley 24 years.

At the very least, I’m glad we don’t have to talk about Mr. Sensitive in the 9th anymore.

I’d rather focus on a new target.
