Imo, after all the missed opportunities, , Dave still made the wrong moves and lost the game for the team.
It wasn't official, so Max pitched in and secured it.
So great job...Dave and Max, together = a sweep that was almost in their pocket.
IWalking anyone to get to Segura was pure stupidity.
Anyone can drop a ball and can't hit one either.

Muncy needs to be sent down. If he’s not going to contribute CONSISTENTLY offensively, and it’s bleeding over to horrible defense, then what is the freaking point? Roberts needs to freaking MANAGE! Not just go in sleepwalking.

    What a feeling fraud.

The dribbler to Muncy was something a professional should have handled with their eyes closed.

At least when Bellinger is hitting sub-200, he's playing shutdown D in center. Muncy is simply hurting this team maximally - pun intended.

Muncy has been a mostly positive defender. He just got a bad hop. He played it right. He also can't be sent down. Roberts just needs to stop putting him in the middle of the lineup really

Why can't he be sent down to do some work and regain confidence?
    Is he out of options?
If he is then call it an injury and let him rehab.
I don't see any reason he can't rediscover his form and this is getting tough to watch
You can see him hoping to work a walk every ab the last 3 weeks more or less

There isn’t gonna be any rediscovering his form. His strength is partially gone. His bat speed is worse. He’s compensating by swinging earlier so he’s pulling everything that he actually hits. Only thing that will help him is time. Blame Will Smith

ok if that's the case let him regain his strength against apt competition
i think everyone knew he wasn't starting this season in top form but also don't think anyone thought it would be this bad
i guess banning the shift next year will help his cause as well but in the meantime it would seem he needs to go on the shelf
Michael Busch would be a shot in the arm and is tearing it up right now
i want what's best for Max but it just doesn't seem like this approach is doing anything but destroying his confidence

Turned two really nice DPs yesterday. Defense hasn't been his problem. He's either mind fucked at the plate or that elbow is still an issue.

Definitely needs to be dropped in the order.

Shame to waste a great effort by the Cat Man yesterday. Seems to be getting better with every outing.

I thought by this morning I'd be over this loss, but no, I woke up bitter thinking about it. Maybe it's because twice yesterday I thought the game was in the bag. Maybe because my annoying brother-in-law is a Phillies fan so I despise losing the season series to them. Maybe because I hate losing to sub par teams. Or just hate losing like that. The bottom line is that Muncy is killing us, and Roberts takes way too long to react. At a minimum, he needs to be removed from prime RBI spots in the lineup. Just like with Bellinger last year, Roberts takes forever to see what the rest of us already see - that batting him in that part of the lineup kills rallies and strands runners. Also, it's probably doing a disservice to Max because the expectations are higher there, causing him to press. At a minimum, he should be in the nine-hole trying to get his timing/strength back. Maybe he'll walk a couple times a week ahead of Betts and Freeman. But even better, like diablo said, figure out his "injury" and send him down to AAA to rehab.

And while I'm at it, another thing that rubbed me wrong (no homo)... I was on a long drive so I had the game on Sirius. When Roberts decided to walk Shwarber, Phillies announcers said as he was walking back to the dugout, he motioned to Shwarber like "we're putting you on" - like out of respect. WTF? It's not enough that he already wants to be best friends with his players, but he needs to be liked by everyone else too? I know I'm picking at straws here, but I've never seen Roberts as having the right disposition to be a great manager, and the fact that this team only has one championship under him is a big underachievement.

regardless of whatever you are saying, that decision to walk him was the worst decision of the game. You don't intentionally walk someone because you are afraid of him doing something he does 7% of the time (homering) to face someone who gets hits 30% of the time. Schwarber was hitting like .193 with a .295 OBP or so vs RHP.

You guys just can't stand that a man of color is leading this organization after years of incompetence by less qualified whites like known homophobe Tommy Lasorda, hard-core segregationists like Walter Alston, and holocaust deniers like Grady Little.

It's a shame (but not surprising, sadly) that this forum is so resistant to progress. You'd think with pride month fast approaching, there'd be some humility, if not ironically. But nope. Can't teach a bunch of racists new tricks.

Rube needs to get this place under control.
