    Lineup took the night off, but Gonsolin (one pitch aside) is looking like Gonsolin of a year ago.

    Bickford is going to Bickford about every other appearance.

    The great German philosopher/ pitcher, Tom Niedenfuerer, told us some years ago, " a RP will go out there five times...one time he'll get scrambled, another time he'll be effective. It's what you do the other three times that makes or breaks you as a successful relief pitcher".
    Based on that, Phil is speeding headlong towards the path of abject failure, I think.

    Eight innings, two runs from the pen (all on Miller). Good stuff. Have to hope one of the young bucks (Stone, Grove or Miller) will grab Thor's spot in the rotation.

    Taylor still haunting the Brewers with his glove.
