He's not an all star and he has no offensive game but his defense, rebounding, hustle, age, and mobility made him an immensely better fit imo.

Lou is definitely a candidate to be moved, his 7MM contract is lookin like Halle Berry naked on the beach.
We'll see what LAL does here with likely their last move, either Biyombo didn't like them, they didn't think he was worth waiting for, or they had that extra money earmarked for someone else.
Rondo is no nonsense, so he'd be on DLo's ass and get him to grow up.
Competes like crazy and plays with an edge.
Once upon a time, much like Mitch coveted Deng years ago, Mitch also tried several times to trade for Rondo.
Just sayin, I could see LAL going say 2-3yrs/38-57MM for Rondo
Or maybe they fork it over for Ryan Anderson or someone else.
It's hard to say, but the salary cap floor is just 8MM away, so they may not go big at all either.

His age was a gift and a curse IMO
If you wanna put some Ws in the win column, gotta get older and more experienced
I think that's part of why we saw guys like Noah, Howard, etc. sign before him

Something to keep an eye on with regarding Ryan Anderson
His agent is Omar Wilkes...Laker great Jamaal Wilkes' son
Same guy who reps Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown...also Ryan Kelly and Wesley Johnson
All in all, great working relationship between Omar and the Lakers

    Lets keep piling up assets.
We can then flip them in a trade midseason.
Hopefully to the Kings for Cousins.
We should try for rondo and anderson too.
Russell. Randle. Tim Mozgov. Anthony Brown.
    For Boogie and Rudy Gay.

    Rondo. Williams
    Ingram. Clarkson
    Gay. Young
    Anderson. Nance
    Cousins. Black. Zubac

Well......Moz's salary is still the cheapest deal out there of the FA Centers.

sometimes you go after those character guys, or sometimes you go for the guys that better fit what you are trying to do. Mozgov is a high energy center thats pick n roll savvy and is known to set screens with ease and his avgs per 36 min have been consistent thru his career 13 pts 10 rebs and 1.8 blks . he wont hit those numbers here. but i think 11/9 /and 1.2-1.5 blk are attainable in about 28-30min a game he will probably get.Was watching espn earlier . They made an interesting point. Had Lakers resigned clarkson first, deng 2nd and maybe mozgov a day or 2 later .the critique wouldnt have been what it is today. I agree. Free agents have made it clear , well atleast this class has. They want to win now or maybe some have been slighted by the lakers in the past(bazemore whiteside) or maybe no one wants to play with a guy that might film their infidelity . hmmm who knows. But i like this core we have now. Just hope randle russell and ingram become the stars we all think they can be.

I agree about your order clarkson-deng-moz, however seeing the limited amount of meetings the laker FO had with FA's I get the feeling that none of the other FA centers would give us the time or the day. So with that in mind I think the FO was worried about everyone getting snatched up and them having nothing. Realistically if this deal was for an average of say 14M or less I don't think there would be as much shade going the FO way. Im guessing that the FO, knowing they needed to spend money, were ok giving an extra few mill to Moz.

BiyomBo was the way better potential move and we could have had him if we wanted for not much more.

Offense? Who gives a shit. The warriors had ezeli and speights in there a lot. They played the new small ball game and that's what Walton is shifting for. With russell, Clarkson leading the way. Now we have deng and randle. Lou off the bench. Scoring at that position isn't valued as much...

Wait what am I talking about. Mozgov averaged like 6 ppg last year anyway.

Mozgov gives.maybe good for a couple years. He's off injury and is 30 and has reached his ceiling 100 %.

Bismack's ceiling is way higher. Sure he could have reached his peak now and end up being a serviceable big man which is what we just paid for in mozgov. But he also could be an absolute beast defender for years and years to come. We know this for a fact, currently he is a way better rebounder and defender th an mozgov.

So what? Mozgov for veteran leadership? What? We just signed deng? What really is the gov gonna teach our bigs? He's gonna be a big bro to randleand nance? Cmon. He will probably help the white foreigner we picked up. Is that why we got him?

The fact us we jumped the gun because we were scared and missed out on a betree talent and someone that could have not only helped us now, but 4 years from now.

Oh and he signed with the perennial powerhouse known as the Orlando magic.

How can you still be talking about how they could've had Biyombo for this much more, that much more, or how they jumped the gun?
You really cannot know that, unless you have a source inside the Lakers' org.
    Chris Broussard, is that you?
Nah, but seriously, what are they to do if Biyombo just didn't wanna be a Laker or if his agent steered him another way?
What are they gonna do, hold Biyombo at gun point?
Man, all that shit is neither here nor there, simply put, Biyombo's not good enough for all this fuss.
He's not good enough to be waiting around for, if that was even the case, and that's coming from a guy who likes his skill-set and would've welcomed him.
Biyombo's now on his 3rd team in 3 years despite all his " potential " and his age.
And that's happened because quite simply he really isn't that good, he's solid, it is what it is.
I wanted him on the team, but I'm definitely not about to cry a river over Bismack fuckin Biyombo.
I mean for all of Biyombo's " potential " and " high ceiling " teams were snatching up over the hill vets like Noah, Dwight and Al Jefferson over him.
And just who in the hell is talking up Mozgov as a leader?
Being good in the locker room doesn't mean you're a leader, sometimes it just means guys enjoy having you around...like a Lamar Odom.
All of Mozgov's former teammates seem to like him.
All this Biyombo talk just reminds me that I need to catch up on Marco Polo/Netflix

    Randle has gotten ripped.
    Clarkson has gotten buff.
    Good signs for defense.

Magic now have too many staring centers and Vogel is cleaning house.
Magic are in market for shot creating guards.
Lou Williams and nick young for Nicola vucevic would be a steal. He's young too.

We just need to sign rondo after that and we may have a team.

    D'Angelo Rondo
    Clarkson Brown
    Ingram Deng
    Randle Nance Black
    Vujacic Mozgov Zubac

    That's a decent enough rotation.

    Absolutely would be a steal
Also hard to see why the Magic would agree to it
