No way they let Scherzer walk after giving up arguably their two best prospects, Ruiz and Gray.

CT3 is the type of player this Front Office loves. Gets on base and plays multiple positions well. Replacing him would take 2-3 lesser players and ultimately cost more. 3 years $32-$38M should do it.

If Kershaw wants to retire a Dodger, the Front Office will make it happen. Only way he leaves is if he wants to play closer to home (Rangers).

Seager would be a good 3-5 year signing, but he'll be a liability after that. Yankees will overpay to have him in pinstripes.

Love how Kenley turned it around, but he'll be too costly. He already fell off a cliff once, what happens when he does it again 6 months into a 3-4 year deal? Pass.

Joe Kelly. Re-sign him to a 1-2 yr deal with options. He wants to be a Dodger and he's earned a return.

thats some sf dreaming right there
pretty sure he has no desire to go to a team losing Posey and working w a team that all seemingly had career years (roids)
not to mention all the guys who were good for them are free agents

guessing the same guys that saw something still see it
8 mil isn't peanuts and he's the 50th rated FA
still not seeing anything in his career that looks promising but that's why i don't make the big bucks

I looked into it and I am lost. The only thing I can think of is that they see something in his pitch mix, perhaps one or two pitches he throws better than some other bad pitches and they just change the way he pitches. He has an appealing strikeout rate but gets hit hard when he allows them to hit it.

Apparently a bunch of teams were in on Heaney, although I’m not entirely sure why.

Dodger front office personnel are master dumpster divers. Definitely give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to under the radar signings.

Ferguson should be back, too. He gives us another LH for the steel trap brain of Dave Roberts to utilize to try and manage the team as well as his idol/victorious superior conterpart, Snitker.
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

    no real surprise

    Jon Heyman@JonHeyman
Chris Taylor is expected to reject the Dodgers $18.4M qualifying offer. Versatility and recent performance almost guarantees a great market.

As the projected " who goes where" frenzy grows in intensity, so far, none ( that I can yet ascertain), is good. The Dodger luck and skill may be drawing to a close...or not. Maybe they will pull a rabbit / rabbits out of the magic hat, as they have been known certainly to do.
But no matter who we do keep, or sign, or get a sweetheart deal with, it will be an addition to a club that is managed by Dave Roberts.
And therein boyos, lies the rub...

    the few who get it
    are there to give it
to the many who dont get it
    so that they get it
    and learn to give it
    before they forget it
