It all appears just slightly above average, with holes as usual.
With the pitching staff depending on CK physically lasting the whole season uninterrupted by his back ( or whatever), Cat Man duplicating last year's overachiement, May a talented, but total crap shoot, no Walker at all, and Thor to be a stalwart he once was...is a lotta maybes and ifs. I really don't have any feeling about the pen, because you just don't know who's healthy or who's falling apart...
Not to mention the whole ball of decreased team talent is neatly wrapped up in a Dave Roberts ineptitude colored ribbon, it may be a year where power shifts in the NLW. Sure portends that way, imo.
We had our times of glory in the NLW, but Roberts has seen to it that the bare minimum has ultimately been gained, in spite of all he was given over his tenure. Huge loser with the brass ring prize thing. Embarrassing. Weak.
I hope by July 31st we can once again sing the praises of the FO heard from the fans as in times before, when the Dodgers got Mookie, and Freddie and Trea and Bauer, etc. when they were all the headliners. But if this post season is an indication of the "new" positioning, along with the stubborn support of Dave we've witnessed for so long now, we'll just have some more of out in the early rounds of playoffs... at best.
    Enough optimism...

Looks pretty good, but can't see the omission of CT3, based on whatever the FO/ Robots base things on.

Not in any particular order, but I'm pretty sure these nine will grace our opening day lineup:

    1. Guy who bats sub-.200 all year. Struggles to get up near the Mendoza line in early August, but ends up falling well short.
    2. Guy who can't hit lefties, but Davey will keep sending him out there, saying, "I feel ___sy has been taking some good swings lately and will come out of it." Spoiler alert: He won't.
    3. Guy who will be on fire and get some "MVP candidate" chatter. Then will forget everything he knows about hitting in the playoffs.
    4. Guy whose HR power has changed to warning-track power. But he'll hit a lot of singles and get praised for being more of a contact hitter. Will end up with a third of his normal HR production.
    5. Guy who dazzles with the glove, prompting Davey to say, "Where would we be without ____sy in the field?" Bat non-existent.
    6. Guy who can't lay-off the slider in the dirt. Even though he, the whole dugout, the four umpires, the two ball girls, the 15 hot dog venders, and 97.83% of the fans in the stands know to expect that pitch next.
    7. Guy who will be our one league leader in a batting statistic. Unfortunately, it's in strikeouts.
    8. Guy who is the first-half MVP, then hits his wall in late July and ends up 12th in MVP voting.
    9. Guy who has solid batting average and OPS numbers, but due to three separate stints on the DL, ends up with 28 RBIs. The last stint carries over into the playoffs.

Manager - Guy who gets credit for getting to the playoffs. Is already prepared with his excuse for the early exit.

... and this pretty much sums up my feeling towards this team and this offseason.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said they’ve already seen an uptick in velocity from Noah Syndergaard. “There’s gonna be a marked increase in velocity, in our opinion.”
