    I wonder how agreeable Betts is to getting days off. I know Freeman, for example, wants to play every game. Is Betts resting because Roberts wants him to or did he ask for a day off? Just seems to me that Betts would want to be out there every day, too, and with the pen as overused as it is, giving the staff less run support is just shooting ourselves in the foot. But then again it makes sense, because Davey.

    The guy is desperate as a fuck, because even within the dimness of his brain, he is aware of how totally fucked this team is now...the pitching is like a no-man's land of after a WW I battle. Holes and barbed wire everywhere.
    There is no tactical reason for Peralta at leadoff. It's all Magic 8 Ball shit from here on out... head scratching stuff, worse than usual, from here on out boyos.
