    The irony of Freddie missing "home" is that he grew up in Fountain Valley CA about 20 minutes from DLand. He went to ElMo High and I saw him pitch vs Servite in 2006 fall league. His parents are from Canada.

    So I get it - he came up in the Atlanta organization but let's lighten up on the hometown hero shit. He was an Angels fan as a kid.

    He's a bit of an emo in my opinion.

    If actual baseball people ran the Dodgers, I'd say yes. But I get the feeling that for all Friedman's savvy, some folks upstairs make decisions about the roster that have zilch to do with winning and all to do with P&L.
