http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/dod...receives-visa-expected-to-rejoin-dodgers.html Reliever Ronald Belisario, who missed last season because he was unable to gain entry into the United States, has been granted a visa and is expected to be in camp for the start of spring training, according to his agent. “He should be ready to go,” said Rick Oliver, who represents Belisario. Armed with a mid-90s sinker, Belisario came out of nowhere to post a 2.04 earned-run average in 69 appearances as a rookie in 2009, but his career has since been derailed by a series of personal problems. Facing drunk-driving charges, Belisario had trouble receiving a visa in 2010 and spent most of spring training in his native Venezuela. Later that year, he missed more than a month of the regular season to receive treatment in a substance-abuse program. He finished that season with a 5.04 ERA. Unable to secure a visa, Belisario never made it out of Venezuela last year. Oliver wouldn’t comment on Belisario’s past substance-abuse problems, but said, “He understand he has issues in the past, but he’s ready to go and get back to the major leagues.” Belisario is currently pitching in Venezuela’s winter league. The closer of the Bravos de Margarita, Belisario had five saves and a 4.09 ERA in his first 22 appearances. [UPDATE: The Dodgers have been looking to add another reliever and this latest development involving Belisario won't change those plans, General Manager Ned Colletti said.] -- Dylan Hernandez

Looking at this particular photo of Chupy, Harang makes him look like Errol Flynn in comparison. The photographer deserves a prize on this.... OK if you don't know who Flynn was, uh....George Clooney.
I'm a fan of this guy however, when he's right. IDK what no professional BB does for over a year to a pitcher, or the drugs or whatever he does. Or did. But when he's dealing, he's fucking unhittable. Needs to work with whoever worked with CK on his release point, IMO. Honeycutt?
One rule of baseball is never bet against a guy with great stuff. I'm certainly not counting him out.
nor am i like bz said we need to get him back on track first year he was near unhittable the next he caught too much of the plate
Yeah, The ball ball didn't have that insane movement on it like it did intially. I think he was trying to get a little more control on it, as hitters started to wait him out. I still think he's still just better letting it fly. IMO, he's no nibbler. never will be. But who knows what drugs he was flying on or whateverand the toll they took. If he comes all the way back, the BP becomes the most formidable part of the team. I'm assuming Guerra wasn't a fluke. If Chupy is right, it could be almost a revisit to the 6 innings from the starters days when we had Shuey, Quantrill, Gagne etc. That means so much over a season, when no one pitcher takes too much of the load.
his stuff is just too good. he was beasting the year he couldnt make it back in the winter league if i recall
