Don’t hit a pitch you can elevate on the ground

Sad but true. CT is a favorite but somedays, he's dumb as a stump.

Not that it doesn't happen often, but still scratching my head over Dave the Rave and his Jansen/ Treinen swithcheroo...I know Blake throws a wiffleball and all that, but has he been any more effective than Jansen ?
I guess he's not now, with a NLCS loss under his belt. And what message is Dave"The Plan" Roberts sending to Kenley with that? " You've been the best closer in MLB for months now, but I don want you on the bump at the end when it counts the most"...I always thought Jansen was a whiner and felt entitled, but on this one, a huge "fuck you" is justifiable, imo.
Whatever luck that grotesque Albies had on that pop hit, it sure wasn't luck on that laser beam Riley hit to win it.
I kind of felt like the Braves are an afterthought to the Dodger march to whichever opponent, a serious and oft repeated mistake, created by overconfidence and arrogance.
I sure hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Max will be at his peak today. His velo and movement were definitely not up to par with his one inning Thursday. All it takes is one bad, tired pitch.
I guess if anyone can be a superhero, Max can.

Still trying to figure out what was going through Taylor's pea sized brain

    Fucking idiot

And just when you think Mookie has turned the corner, he delivers one of the most pathetic performances you'll see by a player.

more egregious to me than taylor’s brain cramp was mookie/trea not driving him in a couple innings earlier
runner at 2nd no outs, runner at 3rd one out… no excuse for two of the team’s better hitters not finding a way to get the run in

    Pitiful..real bush.
It may not have worked 100% of the time, but really, all that was needed from either Mookie or TT, was contact into fair ground
Loser shit, all the way. Imagine a bunt?
Dodgers lost it, more than the Braves won it.
Tio needs to be a PH, not a full game 1b.
They looked, top to bottom, like bumbling idiots when it mattered most yesterday.

    "Tomorrow is another day"...

Assuming the calculators in the front office don’t intervene, we’re into our regular rotation now of Scherzer, Buehler, and Urias.

Now the pressure is on the SP to go deep in their games as we’ve burned through a lot of our relief pitching the past 2 games.

Don't know if I should laugh or cry about that.

We saw it. Fucking Stevie Wonder saw it.

I realize the game is technically beyond most of us, but it still comes down to 'hit 'em where they ain't' ... and this horseshit hubris of guys hitting INTO the shift just to show how big their cojones are is laughable. Ted Williams' frozen head is laughing at this mentality.

Maybe those old racists in Cobb's & Ruth's era wouldn't have hit as well versus Bob Gibson or Johnny Cueto or Dave Stewart or blah blah blah ... but they'd surely have shot easy doubles into those 100 foot gaps between infielders in this stupid era of failing baseball.

there's a saying in boxing that boxers turns old overnight
one minute they're great, the next they're all washed up
but there's another saying that every great fighter always has one great fight left in them
not sure where jt is at, but it's not good

    Per DodgerNation.com...

    https://www.dodgersnation.com/dodge...-the-game-2-lineup-with-an-injury/2021/10/17/

Doc revealed during his pregame press conference that Turner was actually out with an injury. Roberts described it as a stinger in the right side of his neck that is preventing him from turning his head freely.

Can Lux take over Taylor's role? Keep JT at 3rd, Seager at ss, & Trea at 2nd
