Who knows with injuries and stuff, but there's a chance that Bickford just pitched himself off the postseason roster.
Nice how every single fly ball we hit just died at the track. Mookie's and Codys both should've been long fucking gone. MLB had to have brought back the dead balls for the Brewers spider tack pitchers.
things not heard tonight at the ravine… — “bickford really shut them down” — “taylor is a contact hitter” — “dave roberts… what a genius!”
so if its generous to say Bickford has been figured out by the league and is at least shaky then i really hope Kahnle is ramping up like they say another option would be Pepiot Phil has been a constant in 6th. 7th setup role so hopefully they can start looking past him hate to root for another shaky outing or two but i just don't see his stuff fooling anyone atm and he looks frustrated
he suddenly seems to think no one can hit his fastball problem is the harder he throws it, the flatter it gets
I don't Pepiot is an option out of the pen. His struggle to throw strikes doesn't play well out of the pen. Bickford's has a few disastrous outings which have inflated his ERA. He's most been effective. That said, he's definitely the weak link in the pen, along with Kimbrel.
yeah i don't hate Bick it just seems like the magic is unravelling for him at a bad time think we'll see a lot more of him as he tries to work out his issues too but Pepiot looks like he listens and is excited to be in the show have to think they can work on his approach to be used in later setup situations just so happy to have May back and more options hopefully on the way
gonsolin gets shelled tonight 6 earned in 4.1 innings we lose 11-3 and… kimbrel gives up 4 in the 9th
