How about Friedman? He's a genius right? Put a uni on the boy...he can still wear his wingtips and pull all the strings...no problem.

It was unbelievable...I couldn't believe the slanted predjudice I was listening to on a broadcast that should be a "report" of the game, plain and simple. You can bring insight into it, without it being tilted so much one way.
Even the crawl on the bottom of the screen was almost totally StL info, and didn't even mentione Turner's two clutch hits (what else do we have on this flaccid O?)...ESPN needs to check out it's employees. I can almost see when an announcer for a team who is affiliated with it for years, maybe played for them, etc. is a bit of a homer...like the Giants two creeps. But at least they give credit due from time to time.
But on a nationally televised presentation, just shameful. An abomonination.

    I just couldn't post yesterday

I started off ecstatic about getting to watch a Dodger game on ESPN only to have to listen to such anti Dodger sentiment that my daughter asked "why are these guys against the Dodgers?"

I LOVED the strike zone rectangle but then the atrocious home plate calls holy cow. Carpenter doesn't need the benefit of home plate calls but that seems to be A) a function of the umps ALWAYS helping the Cardinals and B) a function of ego-maniacal home plate umpires deciding that THEY will determine the outcome of the game.

Joc Peterson is a rookie and needs to learn not to mouth off at the plate, even under his breath.

That said, and as NZ illustrates, Donnie dumb and dumber, does not possess any testicular appendages whatsoever and allowed his players to suffer for it. Oh and then lets blow through 4-5 bull pen pitchers without letting anyone get into a rhythm so guess what... the bull pen gives away another game

    FUCK.

Wasted a great 1 run outing by Grienke and gave away a game we should of won. To the damned Cardinals.

    FUCK

And if dog damned Andre Ethier wants to run like a lazy slacker like Kemp then park his ass on waivers and put someone in who WANTS to win.

It is so much Mattingly, it's pouring off the loss column , growing steadily.
When a team is doing great, a mgr. can sit back and relax, make the NL moves he needs to in a robotic way. But when a team is floundering, as we are, he's got to be creative and have the proper instincts to get throught it, which DBB doesn't have to any great degree.. Having Libatore out there (at this particular not-so-great time for him) to start an inning was dumb. The one out he got by K was perfect, that's his job. You never see guys like Metheny ( with Choate) go longer than they should with them...or Bochy. They've got the feel for the moves, Donnie doesn't.
Sometimes Donnie gets blamed for losses he shouldn't...sure. But overall, his leadership, or lack of it, is why this highest payroll team is on the snide. Why is he rated where he is amongst managers? Or SABRmatics only counts when trying to spin a players performance?
It's just like Rollins...everybody hates the guy, but obviously it's ridiculous to blame him for every loss. But he still needs to go...is that right ???
Besides the horrible BP use and shit performances, (and don't forget, his mentor /teacher was HoF mgr., Joe Torre), there are posters here who say we don't need more offense! Incredible..."we're fine" they say. Yet they want all new players in multiple positions...WTF is that? If we don't need more offense, then why change?

Except Liberatore out there to start the eighth wasn't dumb. Facing a lefty to start the inning, he was only facing one batter. Results didn't work out after the umpire squeezed Liberatore. Bullpen let Mattingly down again, sometimes you have to point to the source and that is the players that aren't doing there job. And as much as you want to blame Mattingly for leaving in Liberatore, the offense still only scored two runs with basically the best possible lineup he could put out there. There in lies the blame for why the Dodgers aren't winning games, the offense. Going through a slump, happens to every team during some point during the season. Better now than September/heading into the playoffs.

I want to blame Mattingly about Libatore as much as you do blaming Rollins for every loss. I thought Libatore did his job well, and it was over.DBB's done similar stuff many times, and almost always comes up smelling like a turd. He never knows when to back off or when to stop micro-managing.
He's not a good manager, and if you think he is, good for you-you are entitled to feel however you like. I don't. His instincts, most of the time-suck.
He's rated below average, and he's out there every night piloting the most expensive team in BB. I've already made analogies to what that's like metaphorically, and obviously it's wasted on you. We see two pretty different games anyway, so never the twain shall meet. The end is always the same.
The offense only scored two runs....that's not exactly a news flash, since that's pretty much what it is every fucking night now, especially against the good teams...like it or not; it's not BS. We thought it might be, wanted it to be, until we actually played a few good teams. So, that means he's gotta be more careful than ever. And BTW, it all depends who the LH batter is...
You'll only address the same point over and over...so, I ask you then, why don't they have a better manager? Why does he rate 17th out of 30. Why has he gone to the playoffs and done shit? I know ; it's early. But it was early in all those other seasons, wasn't it? What happened?
When you defend Mattingly, you are pissing in the wind, IMO. But if that's what you like, charge ahead! You've got the FO on your side, too!
I can't blame him for last night as vehemently as you blamed Rollins the other? It doesn't mean anything in the end at all what you or I think.
It's the same as it always is...and if whining like I do over 26 years of this dead shit over and over is overreacting...I could give a fuck less.
Thank God (Irish, Ruven, Vger, The Creators, etc.) there is a place to voice our quarter century worth of failures. Am I supposed to be OK with it?
And I can't wait until it's going to get better...y'know... in September, and October.

I didn't mean to single handedly blame Rollins for any loss. Just he sucks and I think we can improve at his position.

Needed almost a full day to get this series off my mind. Another game and another loss to the fucking cardinals...what else is new. I had to PIP the game with the basketball game because I couldn't listen to that espn crew of baseball jokers constantly try to speak with lance Lynn's dick in their mouths. He's hurt, he's not himself, something's not right with him, Blah, blah, fucking blah! Who's idea was it for juan niciasico or however you spell his name to throw fastball after fastball to hitters with 2 strikes until they took the lead? I thought we improved the bullpen and our defense? Sure as shit don't look like it....
