Nothing like a four game sweep to erase the wrong of losing two of three to these guys in Arizona.

Now let's get some revenge against Philly.

Was stuck listening to the radio today. Rick was doing the PBP with Jose Mota doing the color. Rick is awful at PBP. Ignores game action to tell stories. First time I've heard Mota. He was very good.

Kirsten Watson is an idiot. Asks dumbfuck questions. Can tell she knows nothing about baseball.

I'll just say it because it's an iron clad fact and even leftists know it they'd stop posturing for a second and just be real ....

She's a major market sports reporter SOLELY because she's a woman and she's of color. Her Columbia chops don't mean shit anymore. I've sent five students to that school so I know. It's all woke shit there now. You can get a doctorate there just by spewing nonsense.

I'll look into it but it's even money that her dissertations were on civil rights violations, post modern themes in LGBT+ inclusion, & the gender wage gap. Anyone taking broadcast journalism there or in the Ivy League needn't know a puck from a tetherball. If I asked her to explain the infield fly rule without her clipboard handy or her smartphone, no way she could manage.

But she'll blow the network bosses. THAT she's tops at. Or so I hear.

David Price was uh...priceless...and Hudson was as good as Kimbrel for sure.
Know the cocky Phillie bastards will be sure of duplicating what they did to us last week. That was as bad as I've seen the staff, especially Urias.
I'd just love to stomp their ass in Philly.

She has a cute face though. Honestly, I believe someone writes her questions for her and she has no personality or connection to any of the players like Alanna did.

If so, whoever composes the questions doesn't know the game. She's out of her element.

Alana knew the players and the game.

I think she's cute as hell, too.
And given she's not Eleanor Roosevelt, she's fine as far as what she's hired to do. Kid's a newbie, and she'll learn and get better...or she won't. It's not like she's VPOTUS or something, where you must show some savvy ntellect.
Oh, wait, maybe not a good example, given the on a loop equine guffaws of the present one.
And I agree she is working from a script, however loosely and bb questions are as boringly formulaic as it gets, and have been for decades...as portrayed perfectly by Kevin Costner.
I mean, how does it feel to hit a walk off ? Duhhhh....how do you make that glib?
    It's baseball.
Alana Rizzo was exceptional, and knew the game much better. Also older, more experienced and obviously not that happy about some aspects of working for the LAD, hence her abrupt departure.
Working for a team who has as their field general the poster boy for relentless underachievment, she is a perfect fit, then, I guess.

I watched the games on mute during my trial run because they're all awful.

Joe Davis is perfectly competent and seems like a nice guy. But at the end of the day, he's a generic deep 'announcer voice', and is often annoying in trying to sound like he's 50 instead of 30. While Steiner is among the worst of all time in calling action, at least he has a voice for baseball. As did Vin and Jon Miller. Voices that were distinct and the same as their off-air voice. Even that Neverett guy kinda has a baseball voice. Davis...sounds like every other factory made broadcaster.

I've only seen Watson once and she was terrifyingly bad.

Sports journalism is a joke anyways. I'd respect them more if they leaned into being entertainers instead of trying to be taken seriously.

Alanna departed because she married some former ballplayer Chris Iannetta and he lives on the east coast. She can't exactly be an in studio host and sideline reporter at games when living there.

Not what I read on here initially...read that there was some kind of unwanted incident which occurred, prompting a hasty " I'm o utta here"...
    i stand enlightened.
    Thanks.

... Iannetta & Alanna will crash and burn for certain. He had a brutally open affair with her and humiliated his wife. His parents are Italian born old school Catholics, too. It's a mess.

When he was a rookie in Colorado, he effed every girl in town while his wife stayed on the east coast.

Alanna has real talent as a broadcaster but her taste in men is shit.
