Dee Gordon and rumored to be Dan Haren heading to Miami for top prospect Andrew Heaney. Big left hander with front of the rotation stuff. He is big league ready.

Dodgers, Marlins Agree To Trade Dee Gordon, Andrew Heaney
By Mark Polishuk [December 10, 2014 at 5:47pm CST]

The Dodgers and Marlins have agreed to a deal that will send middle infielder Dee Gordon to Miami in exchange for left-hander Andrew Heaney, Andy Martino of the New York Daily News reports. The two sides are sorting through some final paperwork before it becomes official.

ESPN’s Buster Olney (Twitter links) was the first to report that the two sides were having “serious talks” about a Gordon/Heaney trade and described the deal as being “close to done.” Olney also said that other teams could in on the deal and that Dan Haren‘s name had been mentioned as being involved.

The clubs top prospects list is looking pretty nice right now. Feel like they are adding these pieces to make bigger moves.

    So who takes over 2B?

See who does best in ST? Go with Guerrero? Hope that Turner keeps his magic?

So.... this was a fantastic deal for the Dodgers. Sold high on Dee and dumped Haren's salary

Woah, we got rid of Haren too. Awesome. Agree with selling high on Dee -- really felt like he was playing better than he really is, which is why he regressed in the 2nd half

    i can almost imagine...

AMARO: "Tell you what. I'll give you Hamels. But I want Heaney, so you need to get him from the Marlins."
    NERDS: "Done [CLICK]"

    30 minutes later...
    AMARO: "[RING] Hello?"
NERDS: "Okay, we got Heaney. Now give us Hamels!"
AMARO: "Okay, I'll take Pederson, Seager, Urias and Heaney."
    NERDS: "What?!!!"
AMARO: "And, oh yeah, the Rollins deal is contingent upon this."
    NERDS: :suicide:

Hatcher is a righty and had a 3.38 ERA last season in 56 IP. SO/9 of 9.6 and BB/9 of 1.9. Additional piece to the BP? Never heard of him.

Barnes in AA last year hit .296 with an OBP of over .400. Seems like he has some pop with 12 HRs and plays C, 2B and 3B. Wonder what his upside is

No, but he has said he might retire rather than play elsewhere. Since his contract is an option I suppose he can say fuck it and retire.
