Taking the wife to my first game at Uniglo, er... Dodger Stadium in close to five decades. This will be a weeknight against the hated Gnats. Would love to hear any advice or tips for making the most of it. How early should we arrive to see all the stadium offers? What food do we need to try? Is there a spot from which to snap an iconic pic? Bring our own beach ball or are they supplied? -- ha, jk. Any other suggestions? I've prepaid for parking so hopefully that won't be an issue.

i'd go a couple of hours early if you really want to walk around and see everything. the outfield area has the most to offer for stuff to look at like memorabilia etc. actually some really cool stuff hidden in the halls outside the bathrooms etc. they opened up the outfield in center so you can stand throughout the game looking in at home plate. probably a good spot of the iconic photo! was going to try some of the new food but it was just too crazy on opening night and the lines are like two innings long so fuck that. i'm there to watch the game. as i mentioned before the entire vibe is very different from what i've ever known. DS is now a place to be seen for a large group of "fans" and during the game the area behind the outfield is more like a pick up spot. the parking should help and is another reason to get there a little early.
really 50 years! how did that happen? what night are you going to be there i might show up and buy a beer! that alone would be a $20 savings! pretty sure you'll still recognize the place structurally but most of the seats have been replaced in the last decade. not sure on the time or sun being a factor but the third base side get the shadows first and loge level is almost always comfortable regardless.
oh and i did do the pre check thing where you walk in on face recognition but it was glitchy and not sure it really saved us much time walking in. you can always get in faster going right or left from the center field entrance also. people just stack up in center for some reason.

Very helpful, much appreciated. It's probably closer to 45 years, not that that's any better. I never lived in so Cal and just don't get down there that often and when I do it's usually on a tight schedule. Not a good excuse, I know. When the kids were little we did the Disneyland thing probably a dozen times. In hindsight we should've worked in some games too. Yeah, come get a beer. We're going to the Wednesday game of the Giants series.
