    Let me get this straight...If, and its a huge if, these fucking guys even get us remotely close to winning a World Series this season we need two ex Phillies who made a habit of being us in the playoffs to do it? Something about that doesn't seem right at all.

    They trying to get Matt stairs out of retirement too?

    The bullpen market is so shitty. Honestly feel like best bet for the bullpen is hope someone goes on a great run, or hope some combo of Urias/Frias/Bolsinger can contribute from September on

    I don't know how optimistic I am about Utley as far as how much he can contribute or stay healthy. What I do know is that he's been an amazing player that can definitely help and I was pretty sure he would go elsewhere and was ready to be frightened of him kicking ass for the Giants

    Urias got a nice little 2 month break there from the surgery. It'd be funny if the Dodgers throw in him in the pen and he kills it.

    But Hatcher gave me hope today. Just a sliver of hope, but it was something. New mechanics looked good.

    If Utley is finally healthy this could be really good. In the meantime regardless this allows Kiké to go back to his super utility role where he's most valuable. And it also means Callaspo is gone, so Utley becomes a better bench/role option once Kendrick comes back.

    Sweeney has an ok bat profile but he can't play anywhere on the field and that's always been his problem. Richy is hella meh depth for LA.

    I don't get this line of thinking (surprise I have a more optimistic take)... but acquiring Utley has absolutly zero baring on acquiring a bullpen arm... absolutely zero. No relation to each other.

    It can't be that far fetched to you that in light of the worst BP in MLB and 20 blown saves, when the FO goes out and trades away specs for an old ass 2bman, people are a bit disappointed when we have a pretty good replacement and a very good one on the DL, can it? I mean we all know it's wasn't an either/or situation, but maybe getting , or at least trying to get, some BP help should be front and center....not Chase Utley?
    What is the pressing need for this guy in your world?
