    So, with all due respect... genuinely, honestly, really, and absofuckinglutely ... who cares about baseball standings in April, May, or June?

    Fuck Frisco & Atlanta & Phoenix & Milwaukee & Cincinnati & New York & Amarillo & Tonopah and every other everywhere that's anywhere as far as standings are concerned? For that matter ... fuck Los Angeles, too.

    Until you pass game 100, just look at the team you follow. If they rule or suck then, check the standings ... until then, who really cares,you know?

    You're dead balls-on correct.

    Every game does matter. Never said they didn't.

    But we have 162 of these things and you lose your mind agonizing over them early.

    Fact is, in my world - a small one of no importance - LA didn't deserve a playoff shot because they lost their division. I don't care how much they won. They pissed away a dozen games. Fuck them then and now.

    The 2014 Giants didn't deserve a playoff chance either. Nor the 2004 BoSox. And the list goes on.

    I'm an asshole. I prefer baseball in high socks with guys named Tris and Hornsby. I liked the game better when bigots played it, I guess. Whatever. I'm old. So be it.

    Anyway ... Hope they win tonight, I guess. Maybe it goes extras and Kiké can always pitch ....
