Another one. Nothing changes. The team is dead last, probably right now the worst team in MLB, with the highest payroll....and it's not Mattingly's fault. The team's BP is pure shit, at or near the bottom in MLB, highest in ERA, but Honeycutt bears no responsibility. The team hits like a bunch of inept, powerless clowns, at or near the worst in MLB, but MaGwire is not responsible. We need a fucking closer really right away, failing miserably with the highest paid players in MLB, and the GM, Ned Colletti, is not at fault. I guess there is no defensive or fielding coach, but we are at or near the worst fielding team in MLB, so no one is at fault for that, either. Is anybody at fault?
I'm still thinking about all that is said... That Ned has us with some poor options...true. DBB can't light fire's under asses...Eh, I'm not buyin it. The Bullpen is shit...Yeah...right now, they can do better for sure. Injuries kill us...true, but all we're really missing at the moment is Hanely Ramirez. Keeping Cruz and Hernandez over FedEx and ? are a bit strange...but they aren't really playing and costing us games. Puig should be a starter...Still to soon IMO. Bottom line that I keep reverting back too. Kemp and Ethier. Every single thing we bitch about here can and would be overcome if Kemp and Ethier would just get back to some resemblance of what they should be. Hell if just one of them would get their shit together...we will win. Kemp hit a little last week and we won...and he hit just a little with no power.
I like this post, because it points out that there seems to be no direct explaination to how this season is going. It's kind of fucked all around in every direction right now. It all would be ok if Kemp and Ethier were .260-.300/25-40HR guys again. I think the pitching overall would be better with a little breathing room.
Kemp sucks obviously cause of his shoulder with the lost of power. At best, he should bat 8th every game if he's in there. Ethier though, hasn't showed up all year. The BP has been the worst in the league. The manager is constantly headlining articles about whether or not the Dodgers should look elsewhere. It's hard to fathom but this team looked better when the former owner was going through bankruptcy, divorce, and not giving a fuck about the team. Now the tables have turned and it seems the team doesn't give a fuck about winning. This team is the definition of failure and horrid. Can we please just clone Kershaw and Greinke to have a 1,2,3,4 rotation of them and Ryu maybe the 5th starter?? Remember when Ryu was supposed to be the 5th starter and was actually the 2 for a long time and now the #3. Injuries have been huge but they happen to teams every single season and most teams should over come these issues. But the Dodgers aren't beating themselves.. they are just getting embarrassed night in and night out. We are worse than the Padres.. the fucking Padres. I absolutely hope the team shakes things up.. makes some trades.. release the trash on the squad.. call up guys who WANT to play everyday.. and get healthy in time to make a run. You swelled with pride at the Dodgers, never threw in the towel when the team was down, watched players pick each other up, and saw the greatest assemblage of pitchers come to the mound every day. You saw guys rake and power, and the Dodgers were never out of it...never. You expected and believed in them winning...every game. They found a way to win, and the manager/coaches knew what BB was about and what buttons to push. Dodgers went to the Hall and deserved it then. Will we see any go in soon? Diablo's right... it all made sex even better.

All I know is that our luck has to change! I frankly don't care if there is 1 reason or a myriad of reasons. There is no silver lining (save for Kershaw/Gonzo) in this season so far but I for one am not giving up at least until the All-star break or when DBB gets the heave ho, whichever comes 1st. Don't get me wrong I am pissed!!! I'm an infernal optimist so shoot me.
