What a debut by Miller. Was nice to see Will make the Braves look stupid after they intentionally walked Freeman.
So if Miller has a bad outing is it referred to as a BM? Just asking. That tailing 100 mph heater is something to behold.
Acuna is a monster talent, but what a dick, but watching him trot out ground balls to the infield is disgusting.
Behavior like this falls 100% on the 50 & 60 somethings who raised these late teen to late 30s superstars. Bronny James? Tatis Jr? Rajon Rondo & Sidney Crosby? The list is long, and they were all raised by parents born in our era, FSU. I may be wrong, but I've watched nearly three decades of kids enter high school and each year, I see the parent toxicity levels making it worse. Hey .., I'm probably wrong ... But get used to this Acuna level horseshit. Now that NIL money is here ... It's gonna mushroom like Hiroshima now, brother .
The umping is already nauseating. Coming even sooner than usual to exhibit the festering incompetence rampant in MLB.
Fuckin' Bickford, right, but this one's on the offense for so many uncashed opportunities early. I shouldn't complain because they had scored 5+ in seven straight before today, and eventually every team's going to have an off game, but imagine what a sweep in Atlanta would've done for team confidence. We haven't swept the Braves in Georgia since '88, so this would've huge. Oh well...
They said that guy Elder was called the luckiest pitcher in bb to have those stats... Now I know why. Again, better to be lucky than good.
I've maintained for years the best thing would be for the parents to drop the Little League kids off at the ballpark, let them choose up teams and play for two hours. No parents involved. In our area (and I'm sure it's like this most places) regular season LL games are an afterthought. It's all about the privileged few playing travel ball.
