I think he means in terms of defense. They'll more than likely make him DH over the course of his contract.

We wouldn't be able to do that here.

    He can't play defense.

It's almost unreal that he actually played SS for us as recently as last season. The guy is a complete joke in the field.

I think he could play third okay. Like below average, but good enough. Anywhere else would be dreadful

Idk. You're around scouts but I don't think he has the reaction time, hands, or arm for 3B. Can't imagine him coming in on a ball, barehanding it and getting an out. Can't imagine him back handing a ball down the line and gunning it across.

This guy was an athlete once, right?

Hanley will be on the DL in no time....guy is made of glass.

I mean 3rd base is all reaction time basically like you said. I disagree with the soft hands, I think that's his best attribute. The release & throw across would be slightly easier because he has less ground to cover & doesn't have to worry much about footwork which was awful. Idk... The Red Sox seem to not care much about his D

Is Yimi Garcia eligible as a rookie? He pitched last season, did he not? But IDK if enought to disqualify him from rookie status.
We are looking good for ROY, and maybe, just maybe, another real contender on his way. Soon.
Not that it matters ultimately to win individual awards, but it is a Dodger tradition...like CY.

He also had the wierdest and slowest exchange from glove to throwing hand I ever saw.
Hard to say how many speedsters got base hits beating it out because of this....and the Kershaw perfect game not happeneing because of his botching a fairly routine play...sad.
I've always admired CK for the way he handled that.
    Leader quality.

    There is a pitch limit.

Though I don't recall what the limit is.

He seems to transfer and grip awkwardly to me when he plays infield. Always makes that double glove tap as well. But then again I am overly critical.

It's SUPER early, but Hatcher's FIP is 1.39. For context, Kenley's was 1.91 last season.

and that's why sabermetric stats are flawed. That's cause of his high K rate and not giving up HR's.

They are flawed, yes. But your argument is that he's striking out a high percentage & not giving home runs... is a bad thing? Lol

He had like 2 or 3 ugly outings to start the year and has been fine ever since.
