    We lost the div title, had to play a WC then this game in SF because of a bad check swing call, and look how it ended... How fitting is that?

    What! A! Game!

    The opener strategy, as ridiculous as it sounded, ended up as a net positive I think. It got LaStella and Yaz out of the game early.

    Did TT have four of the weakest ABs ever in a playoff game by a reigning batting champion? He needs to fix his postseason psyche. No way is he this bad a hitter, and we're going to need him in the next series.

    Sad to see JT's regression. He took a big step backward last year and I fear we saw another one late this season. He did carry the offense for a while at the beginning of this year which I'm grateful for, but I think he can no longer handle a full season.

    So happy for Bellinger. He needs to build off this. And Kenley - WOW!

    My thought process during CT's ninth inning AB: "We need a sac fly here for an insurance run. Cool, we have the right guy up - he's been hitting deep flies all game." 10 seconds later: "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!?!?"

    I absolutely love the way the game ended. The irony... so perfect!

    Scherzer's expressions in on-field post-win celebrations are freakin fantastic!

    He.didnt. Clearly did NOT swing. As bad as Ruf who DID.
    As a baseball fan, it is a shame that the game ended on a bad call..welcome to the modern version of 2021 umpiring competence...many times, a bitter pill to swallow. It hurts.
    Two teams, this even, down to this game, this even, all the way to this point, should end differently.
    But guess what ? Tough titty..no one gave a fuck when we got screwed on Ruf's call earlier in the season.
    Congratulations, all you Donkey Dicks.
    Quite honestly, I thought Max was absolutely showing the effects of two days rest. Velocity and movement down, and hittable as Crawford almost did. Max was a gamble, imo. But paid off, ultimately.
    For me, this was the World Series !
    It's time to walk the dog, and linger outside at tne SF flag flyer's house...

    I saw Padres fans jumping in on the complaining about the call when I woke up this morning and it's one of the saddest things I've ever seen

    Not only did their sack of shit team fall flat on their faces but they bandwagoned a division rival only to watch the Dodgers beat them too.

    Sad existence for them.

    Best thing he did was have that 24 yr. old " superkid" on the mound, who had zero experience. Should NOT have been out there...in a million years.
    Who did we have? A HoF, tired, and depleted pitcher on short rest, who was, imo, a big gamble that worked. Luck. But still a HoF pitcher, not a kid who rode the elevator all year. Loved it. Thanks Gabe.
    That being said, if Max starts next game, he gets crushed. Beaten like a drum...and will fuck him up going forward. He's flesh and blood, and 37 years old, at that.
    Velocity down, throwing 87 mph., ball not moving normally.
    We need a split again, THEN the big 3.
    Do it.

    When Wade Jr was up in the ninth and the tying run on, I was about as uncomfortable with a lead as I've ever been. One moment he just missed cranking an inside pitch over the right field wall. Next moment he watches strike 3 land uncontested into Smith's glove. What a huge out.

    That whole AB scared the hell out of me. JT commits an error and then TBS flashes Wade's clutch stats where he's something like 15-29 in the 9th inning which is absolutely insane
