Do you realize we have to sweep the Marlins to even make your prediction of our losing record against Reds & Marlins come true? Is it time to laugh or cry?
Remember when making the postseason wasn't enough? Here's your alternative Lol Appreciation at an all time high right about now DBB with perhaps a chance to drive a nail into Roberts' coffin
JT is back Tuesday along with Logan so at least there is a small iota of good news surrounding this team. Reds have won 6 in a row after dispatching us so if they can then we can. Let's do this before I do a swan dive off of suicide bridge in Pasadena.
Lol Ohtani with a 181 wRC+, making a mockery of MLB On the mound too..showed up and found out that none of these MFs can actually hit, they're just swinging for the fences..well, other than Trout and Mookie, that is. And Manny. Ohtani and Gabe Kapler leading the way for the All Fuck the Dodgers Team
know that bridge well worked in pasadena (off lake) for 5 years in the early 1990's too many times saw paramedics there cleaning up the aftermath better memories of the hat, monahan's (gone), buono corso (gone) and the 42er (also gone)
So D-Backs lose another and may have lost AJ Pollock to a sprained thumb, a smidgen of good news again but doesn't do any good if we can't capitalize!! HATE writing this but this with 122 game left but this Marlins series is our season.
It'd be nice if this series could be the jumpstart this team desperately needs. Wood has quietly been putting up better numbers than last year, but is getting fucked in the luck department which is why his ERA is where it is at. Then we have Buehler for game 2, hopefully the offense can get a boost from the return of Turner, otherwise the FO needs to look at these next 6 to 9 games as potentially the end of this shit and start looking to move pieces before more guys start breaking. Also, one more garbage start from Maeda and the club needs to look hard at moving him to a pen roll. He has been a huge part of the problem thus far by digging this club into early holes.
I still say the offense sucks, the starting rotation is barely there, and the bp is abominable. No matter how much statistics are referred to, they lie inevitably, in our case, like a politician. The stats that made them ( offense) amongst the top five, evidently took a really quick U-turn, and as a stat shown last week during the Reds beatdown, it is now in the bottom 6. If Wood's stats are better than last year's when he was 16-3, then a lot of his bad luck is caused by the hittable pitches he throws...the stats mean exactly what, if they're good, when the team is off to the absolute worst start in 60 years ?
