you are arguing my point exactly and you would agree that with the type of nurturing of skills that corey has puig would be even better than corey but as it stands with just a little bit more refining of puigs talent he could be as good as corey just in a different way like how Deion Sanders was not a very good tackler, he never learned the skills to be an elite tackler for someone in his position. but he never needed to, because he was soo fast and had such great instincts that he just wouldnt let you get a clear lane to the ball so you wouldnt even catch it.
how do you know what someone you don't know was born with vs. what they learned? are you assuming corey and kyle were born with zero talent and taught everything? are you assuming since puig came from cuba he had no coaching and is all talent? (racist) you assessments may be right or perhaps they aren't only scouts and people who know them all know for sure but mouse is 100% right... corey is the better ballplayer, and it isn't close
It's a slap in the face of the franchise player that is Corey Seager to even be comparing he and Puig. Wake up and apologize to The Franchise.
Every time Puig does something good I think one thing - trade value. As in, hurry up and build it so LAD's 2nd ranked guy in wRC+ can get his spot in the lineup back.
My assessment is right. I dont think you understand what the word talent means vs the word skill. Larry Bird was more skill than talent. His talent was court vision and quick but soft hands. His skills were a quick shot and great passing and timely plays. Theres an article somewhere online about that.
and it was a head first slide and he was going to beat the throw in his head.. he was running with purpose
I thought this was the Pirates thread. Couldn't believe how long it took a couple of our players to get down the line.
