Wonder if Chase Utley can get a start at second over the mighty Logan Forsythe. Utley fucks his old team up royally.
10 straight against the 3 worst teams in the NL. Anything less than 7-3 is unacceptable and 9-1 needs to be the goal here. HAVE to lock up HFA throughout before the Rockies series. Don't want this team coming to Colorado having to play all out. Luckily for us, the Indians next 3 series are all against the 3 teams vying for the final WC spot so they'll have teams not actively tanking against them.
agreed have to beat up on the teams you're supposed to beat can't lose series to teams like this and it would be nice to take a little momentum into the post
turner 2nd??? and wtf does ethier have to do to get a spot start against a rhp? granderson is 4-for-39 in september, slugging .103 with zero rbi while dre is 6-for-20 .333/.500/.833 surprised dave didn't start grandal too lol Taylor CF Turner 3B Bellinger 1B Puig RF Barnes C Granderson LF Utley 2B Hernandez SS Kershaw P
We just need to stay healthy, lock up HFA, and get some momentum going. The narrative in the media will, of course, be that we are once a again just beating up on bad teams (like we are the only ones with bad teams on our schedule) and we can't beat the good teams. I can't wait for the postseason to shut all that talk down. I want to see what we really have when we are going 100%, not what we are when we are 20 games in first trying to cruise for 2 months. I still think we have something very special going. Fuck the Cubs, Nats, DBacks & Rockies. Fuck Boston, the Yankees, Indians, and Astros.
Dave still trying to make Curtis Granderson a thing. Despite the fact the AB's are essentially wasted. Probably drop a couple of bombs against the Phillies. It's a Met thing.
This is good, I have been saying that Turner should bat second a few times now. Puig hitting 4th is great too although 3rd would be ideal. Seager might not be too bad a leadoff guy until we get a true leadoff hitter. Taylor actually is more impressive after the heart of the order to extend it further. Our four best hitters up top, then Taylor, Barnes, Grandal, Ethier to bring up the rear.
He is super streaky though, if he gets something going against the phillies it may spark a streak going into the playoffs. If not then im sure Ethier has LF locked up once Grandy's tryout is over.
@McCulloughTimes 56m56 minutes ago Corey Seager is not throwing at 100 percent, and he won’t for the rest of the season, Dave Roberts said. It’s a problem they have to manage. This is a disaster waiting to happen. Shades of NLCS Furcal.
Signed on to make this exact point I'd far prefer to see Ethier work off his rust in a spot like this I'd also prefer NOT to see Puig in the 4 hole... bad juju for his tender melon..I predict at least 4 overblown swing-until-he-nearly falls and at least two K's. Puig rocks the 6-8 holes and testing him at 5 is OK but... not the 4 hole, he's not ready for it.
I been saying he should be playing LF since we have the space open and have talented infielders who can take his place.
