We have a better record than the Mets, Cardinals, Royals, Red Sox, Blue Jays, Astros and bunch of other teams the media sucks off. Sneaking up on Washington too. See what winning streaks do? Keep doing it. And try doing it against the Giants once in a while. I fear we rely too much on the long ball and ineptitude of the opposition to score though. Trade deadline will be interesting. Keep winning in the meantime. Give us a chance.
agree on all this only the cubs, giants and nats with better records in the nl like lasports always says, just keep winning series' the rest will take care of itself
F-ck that. I wanna catch those Gnat ass-hats. We gain a couple of games on them before the All Star break, and we're in the mix.
This team may have found itself. I saw the entire series vs Washington out here in Tampa.I was impressed by the late game efforts by this team except Baez. Glad to see Puig back and Urias seems to be improving. Got to, have to get another starter cause if we lose another starting pitcher it could be a nightmare. Seager is the shit period, and Kershaw DAMN.....what could be said. He puts tears in my eyes and makes my nipples hard at the same time. Go Beautimus Blue!!!
One run victories, walk off walks, bottom of the ninth errors, scoring on PBs and WPs...it's all great, and who cares about how you get the W? Theoretically, you could go all that way with that. Theoretically. But not probably. It stands to reason that it won't last that long (maybe) ...but it is kinda Giant- like in a way. Not Giants this season, but similar to the past, when posters screamed incessantly about their "incredible luck and assholiness". So before this magic dissipates and runs out of the Jim Morrison mojo rising shit, someone maybe pops up to ensure that it's just not smoke and mirrors. A little help from our friends. C'mon Andrew or Zarhan or whoever the fuck...lets not let the paint dry and fade.
Agreed. This stuff works in the regular season but if we make the playoffs I can see the magic deteriorating because we're the Dodgers.
Seems like a winnable series if Maeda does in fact get the game 1 start, no confirmation on that yet.
Dave said he gets one more start after this. I bet it depends on health/progress of Montas/Ryu/Brandon. They'd probably like for him to only make one more start then limit him but yeah
I might be wrong but I think Nicasio is starting one of the last two games against us, maybe Monday but not sure on his health
