    way better era/whp at home
    career and esp this year
starting him in boston makes little sense to me
i'd flip/flop him and hill and let him and buehler start games 3/4 at home

    • “We found a way to get it done again,” said Justin Turner. “You saw big swings from two guys [Bellinger and Puig] that didn’t have the success this year they wanted. Walker Buehler gave us almost five innings, Ryan Madson is the unsung hero of the entire postseason and our bullpen was outstanding in a series when their bullpen got a lot of the press, a lot of attention. Our guys stepped up and got it done.”

I understand that Hill is a feel pitcher and the cold weather won't do him any favors. I think somebody else posted that already. But I still feel like we would be wasting a Ryu start.

The offense needs to step the hell up. Top to bottom they are not getting it done. You talk about how if Jackie Bradley jr. is on a hot streak, the Red Sox are hard to beat. But we have guys like Manny Machado, Cody Bellinger, Justin Turner, etc that need to carry the team. Hit .400 for a week with a ton of walks and XBH. We even have fringe guys like Grandal who could carry a team if he wasn't mentally challenged. People need to step up

Turner’s OPS in the NLCS was his lowest for any postseason series ever. I hope that means he’s turning it around for the World Series

    makes sense
but who gives us a better chance
hill with compromised feel or ryu who pitches poorly away from home?
    tbh i can't really say
i just have a hard time getting ryu's last start out of my head
regardless, roberts needs to be more prepared to go to the pen (or at least visit the mound) if things look sketchy early
have a feeling game 2 could be a pen game for us

Just can't stop thinking about how incredible it would be to steal both games in Fenway. Unrealistic, I know. But needing just 2/3 games to clinch at home or 2/5 games to win it all would be awesome. As stoked as I was for both pennants, I wont lie...the lack of energy and celebration from being on the road made it slightly less memorable compared to some postseason moments that occurred at Dodger Stadium.

You will probably lose both games though, so I should just pray for a split. No homo

Dan Shulman has been calling the games on ESPN Radio. He is so much better than Buck. Forgot about him. As much as I despise 3-person booths, I'd take Shulman with Eduardo Nunez and Mike Petriello (who worked together on the ESPN Statcast for the WC game) any day. Rizzo is also better than both Verdouchey and Rosendouche. I think they should employ the RSN sideline reporters from each team to give the national telecast an inside look from reporters who have actually been with the teams all season.

Kemp is gonna DH and Freese is gonna play 1B tomorrow.

The argument for it apparently is that you wouldn’t wanna move Kemp around to another position later in the game, but I think I would’ve DH’d Muncy. Kemp vs Sale doesn’t seem to be in our favor.

Whereas I've convinced myself, for no reason other than the facts are convenient, that the Dodgers limping in through Game 163 and then through the wild card route actually positions us better to win it all.
If I'm skewing data points then so TF what?

It beats winning the division and then failing. Repeatedly.

So at least for this year Wild Card = Winner... repeat after me...

Yeah but the ground balls with Kemp scare me. A double play or two could cost us the game.

Good point. All he does at this point is roll over to the left side. Very scary.

    It is official..

#Dodgers decide Hyun Jin Ryu will start Game 2 and Walker Buehler will start Game 3. #WorldSeries

4 days rest and on the road. He's much better on extra rest and at home but what can you do?

Is Hill Game 1 starter or CK? If it’s CK, Ryu, Buehler, then Hill....that’s a lot of time off for Hill. Wonder if he will be ready.
