Clemens, pedro, koufax, maddux, and Gibson never did it. Sandy came closest, had a 2.04 era in his third year. I cant think of who else in the modern era to look up
Guys, this sweep was monumental. I'm ecstatic it happened, but I'm not going to get too excited about the 6 1/2 game lead because I have a feeling it will still be close in the end. Giants have a cakewalk schedule the rest of the way, with their only opponent over .500 being the Dodgers for 4 games in SF. Meanwhile, we have the Pirates, and Angels who always play us tough. And despite the sweep, it's clear to me that this team is still not hitting. Kershaw and Greinke are money, but the rest of the rotation is going to have to step up in a big way if the offense keeps sputtering along.
Nah it's a wrap. 6.5 isn't happening with Kershaw and Greinke being near automatic, especially with their lineup.
Watching timeless Dodgers. 2004 Finley clincher. It's crazy. Only 11 Years ago and everything looks so old. Standard Def 4:3 broadcast, Dodger Stadium was totally run down and different. Rubber warning track, Dodger blue walls, huge foul territory, different color seats, old scoreboards...ADRIAN FREAKING BELTRE!!! JAYSON WERTH! LOL So weird. It's cool though.
I think one of the best things about this series is Bochey getting yanked twice. He's usually not that way, which to me suggests he knew he didnt have a chance the way Grienke and Kershaw were pitching. I think he knows he mostly likely lost the post season.
We won 8 of our last 9 and had to be no-hit to lose that one game... WE FINNA WIN A SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!!!!!
