The Dodgers and Braves were #1 and #2 in scoring this year, but the Braves were much more up and down.

Fun fact: The Dodgers weren’t shutout all season. The Braves were shutout on Opening Day.

    Some roster news...
-Dodgers considering having 15 pitchers with the 7 days in a row, which would mean removing one position player and adding a pitcher. So, possibly removing at least one of Lux/Gore/Beaty for a pitcher
    - Rios is going through drills to see if he’s healthy enough to play
    - no word on a 3rd catcher
    - the 15th pitcher would be between Wood, Santana, and M. White. My guess would be Wood just because he’s left handed. He’d be last in the barrel but, i guess makes some sense
-Enrique will be starting against the lefty. Good call - he’s struggled but no one else makes more sense especially since Fried is a traditional starter not like he’ll exit early. I hope he starts at 2B with Taylor in LF and Pollock DH

Important to take into account that the East was pretty bad this year pitching wise outside of the Rays and Marlins for their opponents. The Dodgers should be at an extreme advantage, especially in this ballpark, but there's a reason you still play the games... though now that I think of it, the West had garbage pitching outside of like... us.

Honestly, Lux and Beaty shouldn't even get an AB unless it's either a game deep into extra innings or we're so far out ahead that it doesn't matter who hits. Or as injury replacements. And even in the case of extra innings, with the DH position eliminating the need to hit for the pitcher, we still shouldn't get to those two in the pecking order. So I'm fine replacing either for a pitcher. And as far as Gore, how often do we use PR's anyhow?

    Roster news:

    Dodgers removed Lux and Gore
Dodgers added Alex Wood and Edwin Rios

good to see Rios is healthy enough to swing. Don’t expect to see Wood more than mop up or like the 16th inning but hopefully unleashes our other lefties more

Game 1 is where I think the Braves have the biggest advantage. Their best starter, left handed and on a really really good year, against our (somewhat injured) starter. We take game 1 and I feel great about the rest of the series. It’s the one game I really feel like we are the most even

Although we “struggle” against lefties I love that lineup. 1-6 you have some good damn at bats and then you think you can rest easy but 7-9 is 3 guys who can ambush you and have tons of success against lefties.

my guess is they didn’t want so many day games in San Diego, I bet games 4 and on and the times flip. It is surprising though

I wonder if it was just TBS and FS1 fighting for the time slots. I’ve always felt like they don’t really care about local start times.

I noticed Game 4 is on big FOX, and Game 7, of course, is all by itself, so those will likely get good slots.

Let’s get a fucking W and make this easy. Buehler’s gotta get us going and the offense... just punish Fried. He’s good but make contact and see what happens
