Sorry for my defeatist attitude, but it almost doesn't even matter anymore who the starting pitcher is - if the team can't score some decent runs. Because he could have a great start, but we know Roberts will pull him at some point even if the pitch count is manageable, and then Kimbrel will give up the lead (unless Graterol, Vesia, or other beats him to it).
Also, when the offense was clicking early in the season, we just didn't realize how much Kimbrel had declined, because he always seemed to come in with a buffer and was able to pick up saves. Now we're lucky to even have a one-run lead in the ninth... that is, until Cardiac Craig comes in.
idk could have been a cool story! pick up a hooker otw ala curb your enthusiasm and hang w the ingrowns!
nice swing Gavin and a nice sprint/slide by JT rare case of a runner scoring from third w one out this year
to start the big late inning rally JT singles and Trayce comes up and strikesout on 3 pitches never saw that coming figured he'd at least gidp
Yes, but the original call rule screwed him. Looked like the 3B tagged his back leg after the lead leg hit the bag. Nit picky to rag on Freddie there, but making an out on the bases like that wasn't a wise move.
True. But compared to the baserunning I've seen on the LAD this season to date, he is like the Stephen Hawking of Dodger baserunners.
