seeing mookie suck up to rival baserunners, we now know why he wanted to play ss so badly… he was lonely in the outfield it all makes sense now
Conforto cannot ground into a double play there. Runner at third with less than two out, you've got get it in the air. Terrible.
We can and should blame Miller for failing to hold the lead, but once again, the Dodgers inability to put teams away has reared its ugly head. One run through innings 2-8 against this team is inexcusable. If the team didn't let up after the first, this wouldn't be a 1-run game.
Strange outing for Miller. Good enough stuff to rack up 7 Ks in three innings, but bad enough to get hammered for six runs. His fastball, despite its velocity, isn't good enough. Has to develop more movement and get better command of his secondary stuff. Threw some really nice curves, but couldn't throw an effective change to save his life. Thank God for the pen again.
I hate facing Texas because I'm still not over allowing Seager to walk. Imagine if he was still our SS batting cleanup and Mookie was at second or in right: Ohtani, Betts, FF, Seager, Smith, Teo, Edman, Muncy, Conforto. That's absurd. Side note: Joc is only 3 for 50 this year, but he's 4 for 6 lifetime (last year) against Yamamoto.
Yordan Alvarez for Josh fucking Fields. I will never get over this Corey Seager should have been a Dodger for life Even if his defense went downhill, he could be moved to 3B
alvarez for fields is right up there with pedro martinez for delino deshields huge blunder thinking they could talk trey into staying, when all along he maintained his preference for playing back east… adrian beltre 2.0 “there is no present and there is no future there’s only the past, repeating itself over and over.” - eugene o’neill (paraphrasing) .
Can't play the Rox every night, eh ? Man, Teo's bat looks really slooow. What is Smith looking for...deGrom to pitch it in there underhand ? I don't know if Yamo outthere for the 7th is a good idea....
