Didn't join the game action until the 8th. Watched them survive a Urena-Banda-Scott 8th and 9th.

Saw the Max shot. Loved Joe's call......"to the moon." Obviously a Honeymooner's reference (that's for Bzoo).

Freddie's money shot is what we've come to expect.

Sounded like Kershaw struggled to throw quality strikes again. Team has to be patient because they don't have many options.

Couldn't get this game on any fucking thing. No Dodger victory for the " local" game blackout 3000 miles way.

That was impressive against the heart of their lineup. Just one outing, though.

Redemption night for both Scott and Max.

saw that play in my sleep last night from a different perspective and i think that's a pretty tough play for almost anyone but a gg player tbh
it probably came off the bat looking exactly like a drive to the wall in left center and back spin from FF's inside out cricket like swing spun it
add to that the adrenalin and roar of the crowd and it almost impossible to read it in that moment but too bad nimmo you lose!

It's as you've said previously... until this team gets arms back (give up on GlassmanNow; he's done), to get CK mound time, the offense needs to give him 6+ runs early. Maybe he'll stumble through 5 that way.

Offense has to do the job. No other way around it.

I agree. First, Freddie thought it was gone. The way he dropped the bat possibly had Nimmo thinking he was going to have to go up the wall to make a play. Second, it was definitely slicing right to left, and once he looked for it over his right shoulder, it was all over. In any case, I'll take it.

With his velocity down, Kershaw needs to place his pitches well and get maximum movement on his breaking stuff. Yesterday the slider wasn't biting and he hung some curves. The pitch that Soto hammered was middle-middle - a gift, as was the first inning pitch to Alonzo, and he's lucky that was "only" an RBI double. I think he'll still find his control... just hoping it happens sooner than later, especially as Dodgers are in a key stretch right now.
