    I love and admire CK plenty, believe me.

    But then, I'm jaded since O'Malley sold this team. Like many here, I still cling to the memory of what the Dodgers - and baseball - used to be, despite what it's become. It is no longer the National pastime. It is no longer a boy's game played in the streets. It is no longer a hometown thing.

    So, CK may wear Dodger Blue next year, but if not, so be it. It seems to me that CK's ping pong tournament means more to him and the team than it does to be winner in October. And I know that that sounds harsh as hell. I'll never raise the kind of money for charity that that tournament raises, but I really think that priorities are something to be recognized.

    I do not believe that this team and this organization prioritizes championships the way the fans like us here do. And that is a major disconnect.

    Lasorda was often a blowhard and he made mistakes. But he was 100% devoted to winning it all. When he didn't, he seethed and pouted, but I knew he was sincere.

    Roberts isn't just NOT Lasorda. Freidman isn't just NOT Campanis or Claire. Guggeheim isn't just NOT Walter O'Malley. These people just .... AREN'T Dodgers.

    CK is a Dodger, and even if he ends up in Ranger colors, he's still a Dodger, so it's OK. Shit ... Snider wore other colors. Hodges, Garvey, Lopes, and Hetshiser wore other colors. They're still Bums to us. And Gibby is more Detroit than Dodger but he's still our guy.

    This team needs an enema. A big one. If half the roster goes to provide that clean out, so be it. I don't care about 162 games anymore.

    Call me when thisis an actual baseball team again.
