    Alvarez is a glaring mistake but imo its pretty hard to question Freidmans ability to acquire talent other than said jellyfish
    there's a whole lot of other "top tier" talent we traded that isn't doing shit and credit has to go to the...ugh astros gm

    I'd read - and this may be untrue - Friedman confused two Alvarezes and traded the wrong one. If untrue, I take that back. That was blogged on aplenty back in 2019, once Yordan came up big in Houston.

    i agree with this wholeheartedly and think he's trapped in the jellyfish scenario
    of course he wanted a guy he could control, but had no idea how bad he'd be in the dugout
    if he fires the invertebrate, billy jean, magic and all the lbgtq/blm/non-binary fans will riot
    bochy would have been an excellent replacement, but no way a seasoned vet like him (or showalter, or kennedy, or...) would be willing to suddenly cede all their power to andy
    so, until utley's facial pigmentation suddenly changes...

    What I can't believe is that this SD team stands a real chance of being even better next year...after idiot Tatis returns, and the absolute performances of those trade pieces starting to happen for real, Looks pretty rosey for these douchebags going in.

    I had tickets for game 6 too.

    Whatever, at least the Lakers are 0-3 and Russ got benched at the end of the game.
