have to wonder if treinen ever comes back On Thursday the Dodgers announced that they’d placed Walker Buehler, Blake Treinen and J.P. Feyereisen on the 60-day injured list, clearing space on the 40-man roster for the signings of David Peralta, Alex Reyes and Jimmy Nelson.
I certainly hope so. He sure has sucked every time I've ever seen the guy...in a way, if he's good, I'll miss using the Jablowmi moniker. I do love it so. Y'know, like Patton loved war. God help me. But I'm willing to sacrifice my petty enjoyments in trade for a good Heywood year. There's so many others who lurk in the shadows to take his place...

"I think that the smartest people in the room know that you don’t win a postseason in the winter." — Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts
A general once said, " I fear an army of a thousand sheep led by a lion more than one of a thousand lions led by a sheep". Well, applying that to baseball, isn't a team of good, solid ballplayers led by a savvy, clever manager more dangerous than one of superstars led by a dolt ? As a lifelong fan, trying to get enthused about the 23 season, after I guess a selfish disappointment on not getting the cream of the crop out there, it will be kinda unique ( considering recent histories and expections, anyway ), to root for the underdog Dodgers to take the NLW. Or in the post...fight like lions, so to speak. Beat the prognosticators. Like the noble 88 team...beat the new powers. But sadly, the leader is not even a sheep, more like a cat who has had a healthy dose of catnip. Woozy and unsure. Also, it's a chance for him to earn the justification of all the kudos and taint licking he's garnished during his tenure. As they say, all will be revealed...
to say "i think" in front of that statement tells me everything i need to know about davey, which i already knew he really thinks he's one of the smartest in the room to imply he isn't would be racist even if he left the "i think" part out the smartest people in the room would never have the need to say such a thing probably something he heard casten say

roberts speech to the entire team today not kidding link “First off, this is a new year. This group, like I said, is a hungry group, a focused group — I love this group. I love this team. And it’s gonna be fun to watch you guys come together. Let’s go out there and be the Dodgers, play together, and get better each day. And each individual — myself included — has gotta find a way to channel that focus and be able to sustain it, not only today, when this is the first day of workouts where everyone’s excited to see everybody, it’s great, energy’s good. But there’s going to be a point in spring training where it gets monotonous, it’s the same thing, it gets tiresome, it gets to be a grind. But we all have to, individually, collectively, default to still focusing on getting better that particular day. Find out how to love practice, enjoy it, love it, love the grind, and ask yourselves, ‘Are we in, or are we out?'”
I just have to say this is the least excited I have been about the Dodgers since Guggenheim took over.
