Nice to start a tough roadie with a series win, but it should have been a sweep. Only allowed two runs in a bullpen game. Should have been a W, only the lineup could only muster a solo HR by Edman. Beat Cole and Schlittler the first two games, but could only muster 3 ABs with RISP against the Yankee bullpen arms. Edman aside, only highlight was Alfonzo getting his first MLB hit.

Yama returned to Yama form in the first game.

Dodger corner OFs are a black hole (not racist) in the lineup. Pages with another outrageously stupid early game challenge.

With Smith not coming back anytime soon, sure makes me wish we had stashed Rortvedt in AAA instead of these guys that can't even break .100. What would it take to get him from the Mets? Seems like not much, considering he's been on their AAA team all year.

And if they can't swing a reasonable deal for Ben, how about bring Barnesy back? I think it was diablo who first mentioned it, but no joke, it's been less than a year since he last played and I have no doubt he can get on base more than Chuckie and this current guy.

i like barnes but i think teams would run wild on him
i don’t have the numbers and i’m too lazy to look them up, but i remember not being able to recall the last time he threw out a runner just before will took over
not that that’s the only thing to look at, but it could be a problem

probably would cost too much because cleveland is still in contention, but i wouldn’t mind a guy like austin hedges
okay/average bat but a great defensive backstop iirc

    And I don't mean Stairs.

Personally, I don't think Ohtani can hit either right now. His leg looks like almost a immovable object while he's AB.
    Looks very unwell up there.

Looks like all the superstar hitters and pitchers are all used up tonight. What a disgusting pitch by Vesia.
Sure glad we seem to get a lot of errors from other teams...aside from the once weekly run frenzy, we wouldn' t score all that much without them.

I'm getting sick of Dalton Rushing fast. I don't think anyone does less with more meatballs. dude is getting pitch after pitch after pitch right down the fucking middle and does absolutely nothing with all of them

So far, the guy is vastly overated...offensively and defensively.
Can you imagine going into the playoffs with him getting the lion's share behind the plate ?
He gets past balls that are not even questionable as being wild pitches...he simply doesn't catch it.
And everyone seems to be saying he is filling in admirably for Will "the Ghost" Smith. Que ?
Mentioning Smith...is it still considered a team- friendly, fabulous bargain they got him for what they did if he doesn't play ??
Guess it's all going right over my head.

today certainly has to have AF adjusting his position in his chair at the very least. Sheehan isn't going to be reliable no matter how much i wish him to be. probably sb the long relief guy and nothing more than that for now. he's getting lit up on the regular and for every decent looking outing they get from him he shits the bed the next four. then the guy they hope to possibly ramp it up in the second half gets shelled as well. Knack has looked good but haven't seen anything resembling him at his best. rn its Yoshi, Wrobo, Sasaki and a bunch of question marks. sure Snell should be back. another starter feels like more than just a luxury about now.

Every year it feels like the rotation is so loaded Jan - Mar and then the season starts and guys are MIA and then others go on the shelf and the rotation seems to be held together with duct tape. We could've really used one of Ryan and Stone right about now.

Rare total pitching implosion. Sheehan erratic again. Vesia with a very rare hiccup. Knack looking like nothing more than a batting practice pitcher.

Wasted a 7 run effort, although three of them were in garbage time. Good game from Mookie. Had a real look at the game in the sixth only down 4-3, but Edman flew out to LF.

One of the strangest games you'll ever see from Trea Turner. Kicking the ball all over the infield and hammering almost every pitch he saw.

sheehan has the stuff to be an mlb starter but not the makeup
bad pitch selection, missing spots in the zone and either falling behind in the count or not knowing how to put people away when he gets ahead
    dude is infuriating

    knack is garbage
looks like he just stumbled out of a seedy bar
    pitches like it too

    not worried about vesia
you can count on him 99 times out of 100
he has everything knack and sheehan lack

credit to AF for continuing to find guys like this
