Just got home from the game. Don't care about missing the comeback

 

Seth has a beast look about him. i like.

 

The marquee read The Return of Snellzilla. The man with no chin didn't disappoint. Razor sharp. 10 Ks in six innings. Minimal hard contact. Hitting his spots and 17-22 first pitch strikes. Witt Jr scored the only run after getting on with a broken bat single. Loved how he bore down and got three straight outs with a runner on third after the bloop double and steal of third.

Phillips crapped on the 8th inning lead. In a mild defense of him he should have gotten a check swing for strike three against Witt Jr. Would have been two outs and no one on. No defense for what happened after that. He hasn't been convincing, but last night broke a streak of six scoreless appearances.

Another bonehead play by Pages in the field. Makes a nice catch (not easy with a ball hit right at him), but trying to make a quick exchange for no reason cost his team the go ahead run.

Mookie has a back to the future game. Very nice AB for Call driving in the go ahead run. Didn't see that coming. Same thing with Teo. Thought he was cooked after he chased a first pitch slider a foot off the plate.

The Lauer magic is rapidly diminishing.
His insistence on throwing the ball high is maddening, and seems to relentlessly go there, regardless of the lack of success.
The first inning top three Dodgers looked like incompetent fools.
They say that the Doxgers play down to the lesser teams, and play up to the better ones. I've read it/ heard it many times. Well, they're definitely playing down to KC, with two one run extra inning wins necessary to get the Ws.
But they sure didn't play up to Boston or Chicago or the Dbacks. And got very lucky for the one they did grab against the Dbacks.
I don't know what to think about the next 4.
