The lineup should be: Crawford/Ellis/Kemp/AGon/Hanley/Ethier/Cruz/Ellis/p I am just not sure that Crawford will come back 100 percent and should be leading off. If not Ellis/Ethier/Kemp/Agon/Hanley/Crawford/Cruz/Ellis/p I do not want Kemp in the 3 hole but we have no other option because I see your point about Agon.
They just got to taste being THIS close. They also felt what it was like to win a bunch in a row. They won 6 fucking games in a row.
Attack me, I'm just saying...Scutaro, a guy with a career 730 OPS is posting a 855 OPS as a Giant, 200 points higher than his OPS as a Rockie. Their fucking left fielder, and 6th hitter tonight was Xavier Nady, a guy who posted an OPS of 486 last season, yet has an OPS of 845 as a Giant this year. Their lineup has 3 guys that are good hitters historically, but Pence and Sandoval are not guys you tend to look at when it comes to carrying an offense. They lose Melky Cabrera, the guy who was leading their team in every statistic batting wise, and improve drastically offensively. Brandon Belt was posting numbers way worse than James Loney entering August, but since then, hit 349 in August, 316 in September with a combined 891 OPS. Ryan Vogelsong, a guy so terrible that the Pirates released him for posting an ERA in the 5s in their minor league system is a 14 win guy(more than Kershaw), and has posted a combined ERA of 3.22 in 2 seasons with San Francisco. Not to mention the guy that was carrying their team for years, a 2 time Cy Young award winner, posts historically bd numbers this year and is lost mentally, yet it doesn't bother them. Imagine if Kershaw did that for us. Just doesn't add up, sorry, there is something in the water there, or maybe they love adversity. I don't know
Why even bunt Gordon over when he is more than capable of stealing the base? And look who comes up after AJ, you want the biggest game of your managing career on two 40 man filler guys? A turd of a game, top to bottom. Shame.
Anyone find it humorous that the second most roided team in the MLB just knocked us out for the most roided team?
I haven't been around too much lately to know what is up with the St. Louis hatred. I don't like them either, and obviously wanted them to lose every game the past few weeks, and I firmly believe their team is on roids. But if we want the Giants to lose, we'd probably have better luck with the Cards in the playoffs than Atlanta. I hate the fucking Braves, and they are the team that started the Giants run a couple years ago by choking away game 3, and then got owned in their last two series vs SF this year. I hate both teams, but Atlanta is a guaranteed choke.
I don't give a fuck how we lost, we just lost. it's sad and I'm pretty crushed. but this was a fantastic season. who would of thought we'd be in this AT ALL with the shit we went through and then injuries. next year, we're making the playoffs. you watch.
Oh, we are making the playoffs. Look at the changes to this team. Now, they are hitting (save tonight). We are adding two starters in the offseason. Our lineup will be killer. Next year, it is a different story.
All bets are off next year. Barring a major injury or two we should be one of the best teams in baseball if not thee best. If not we might not win another World Series in my lifetime....no bullshit
Did forget about it, but I can't even help but laugh at that....what a fucking douchebag. Seriously blaming towels for a paid profession not catching a routine fly ball? Lol....poor pro athletes. What's next? Blaming Hats that fans wear?
I'm rooting for the Yankees regardless of who they play. This is their last harrah before being dubbed the "Dodgers of the East".
I'm about to head to bed. Just remember, this was the beginning. The first year of our new ownership. This will be the worst roster you will see as a fan of the Dodgers for years to come. There will be changes for the better, and we have owners that are willing to do anything for us to win. We improved this year, had a lot of ups and downs, barely missed out on the playoffs, but next year we will field an even better product, and a group more jelled chemistry wise. The only thing that might stand in our way is the fact that the Giants will probably sign some stud hitting 182 with 2 HR in Double A to a deal. Guaranteed to be starting in the ASG with a 310 average, 25 HRs, and 70 RBI next season.
