    You can call it calculating odds, mitigating risk, good planning, or just plain ol' rigged game.
    The point is that Kenley will be back soon. He was never going to be gone for long.
    All this losing has been from management putting relievers in spots they should not be in and putting hitters that are hot on the bench with a matchups excuse or otherwise doing whatever small incremental moves are necessary to lose games.

    Because if they do not lose these games the Dodgers do not have a chance in the playoffs.
    The only way they can get a good relief pitcher in the current market is to drop low enough in the waiver standings that they only have 2 or 3 teams in front of them that would be potential spoil sports instead of 6 or 7.
    Those teams that have first dibs for waivers will take the few good relievers left on the block and leave the Dodgers with another nobody if they were the front runners.

    So the Dodgers are on a perfectly planned leave.
    And now its about over.
    They just need to trade for that reliever soon so they don't have to continue piling on losses.

    we could easily have aroldis chapman and brandon morrow in our pen
    i've been doing my best to understand the trash heap bp but it just blew up in their faces
    just no way what we have gets us to the promised land
    hoping next year it will be no excuses
    or at least a group of guys that can occasionally hold a lead

    if the offense scored more runs, the starters could stay in the game longer
    if the starters stayed in longer [no homo], the guys in the pen could be managed better
    and if the pen was managed better, we'd have less blown leads and more w's
