5 hits against of succession of mediocre (putting it kindly). Four hitters that followed Ohtani went 0-16 and none of them even reached base.

Yarborough has turned into a bucket of shit.

This Lux thing is a little more absurd to me than the CT3 thing (though he is just as shitty regardless of the hot streak). CT3 has the fat contract, so I at least semi understand the team/Dave hoping he can figure it out. I still don't think you keep a guy around just because of his contract, especially a guy like CT3 that has been worth - 0.7 WAR.

Lux though, this man is still under team control, arbitration eligible, not getting paid much, etc. Really not a huge deal to stop playing him, send him to AAA (yeah, he still has two options and the fact we haven't sent him down is really blowing my mind), or cut the fucking guy.

Dave will happily trot the loser out there every night to have terrible at bats, while Vargas is fighting for his life to get into the lineup (while having far more productive AB's).

On that note, they seem reluctant to play Vargas in the infield...but he has played 3B and 2B before. I guess they think he's a bad infielder? Which is weird because Mookie is fucking awful at SS and Muncy isn't good at 3B. Given how bad the lineup is, I don't fucking care if you put a 3 year old at 2b if they can rake. At this point, the need for offense far outweighs having a "solid" defense.

The whole ass backwards approach to how we view certain guys and situations isn't cohesive at all, it's an absolute clusterfuck right now. I don't know if it is Dave on his own, or too many cooks in the front office kitchen giving him their opinions on how to use guys, but it's really bad.

Doesn't Muncy have leprosy ? Or, woke form, Hansen's Disease ?
He's been sent away somewhere hasn't he ?

That loss last night really irks me. Doesn't matter that we're without Mookie and Yoshi. And Muncy. They lost Ohtani in the off-season, and are without Trout and for whatever he's worth, Rendon. Plus they're just a bad team. With a starting pitcher ERA yesterday of something like 7. And our starter threw five shutout before Scarecrow pulled him seemingly early at 73 (I think) pitches. Even worse is that it was a home game. We should've won by around 8-2 in my opinion. I know you can't win them all and in baseball upsets are more prevalent than in football and hoops, but we're losing these types of games way too often. But the headlines don't focus on that. Instead everyone (meaning media and casual fans) is excited that Ohtani homered against his old team. Fuck that. I mean I like the home runs, but they're meaningless in losses, IMO. #robertsstillsucks

Glasnow had perfect game type stuff tonight.....thought he might just do it early on in the game.

I guess the underlying theme is some measure of "urban" environment relationship...and the font and the off white, in the designers eyes anyway, reflects that. Sort of like the pin stripes on the Yankees, etc.
But the absolute worst part of it is the stupid 1/3 cropping off of the numbers on the back of the jersey with the name strip placed over it. Wtf is that? And 05 instead of 5 for Freeman? Ode to tech ?
And tbe great question ( which explanation I may have missed, probably) exactly what is the red square at the end of the sleeve for ?
    Just my tuppence.

Three hard hit balls in four trips for Lux. A step forward or a fluke? We'll see.

Holding my breath Glasnow continues to hold up. No one in the game has better stuff.

His breaking ball reminds me of Sandy's, I swear. Just a wee bit more hump on it.
Like Hank said, " even if you know it's coming, it doesn't matter. You can't hit it".

Forgot to give some credit to Biggio. Figured out a way to get on base by bunting and scored on Ohtani's latest rocket launch.

Now that you've made your contribution to the cause, get out of town.

Said those exact same words a minute ago.
These guys are on helium when they make the schedule.
Reminds me of the film Cevy Chase was in , forgot the title, but he put his head down, and comes up with it covered in coke and says," I like it"!
Say hello to my little jerkoff friends.

    Yeah, agree.
Until it all went asunder with catcher's interference. I felt he lost concentration after that...
Btw,, Manny says " Hi Clayton! Remember you almost got one" ?
