Taylor looking more like a contributor instead of a detriment. Two hits and started a gorgeous double play in the first inning.

Smith starting to show a pulse at the plate. His two run single was the biggest hit of the game. He remarkably continues to control the run game. Throw to get McCarthy was textbook.

Top of the lineup lived up to its billing and then some.

    I'll say it.

I expect disappointment with the Dodgers until either Gugg sells the team to someone who ACTUALLY loves baseball (like John Henry or J Middleton) or at least Roberts gets replaced by a true baseball man (not a woman or an LGBT token).

If LA pulls it together & manages greatness this October... bitchen. Great. I'm happy for y'all... but regardless, I'll never be happy until this woke-as-fuck shit ends. And if it doesn't, forget it all forever.

I'm just too far gone on pro sports in general & the Dodgers in particular.

Sorry if that bums anyone out. Just being honest.

Quite honestly , I was unimpressed with the AZ pitchiing...I mean, what was impressive about it ? I expected waaay better than that, based on the recent level of prress and play.
Not that ours was spectacular. That sad sacrifice of Wrobo in the 3rd game apart, it was pretty common Dodgerish, the loss of Kershaw notwithstanding.
Kelly has been a sporadic help, but generally, he sucks now. HR Kelly.
I guess maybe Orel was right...SD will rise, of the two teams, if anyone will. But they are due for a cooloing off, too, just like the great philosopher Eric Karros said of AZ a few broadcasts ago.
So, Idk what the format is for post season ( hope we get there)...if we would face both of them or one of them or what or who.
Seems like if one of the two are " in our head", it's not AZ so much. It's the other one.
    We'll see.
    All will be revealed.

I still think AZ is in our head. You may say we took 3 of 4, and you'd be correct. However, two of those could easily have gone the other way - our staff gave up way too many runs to a team that didn't even have Walker or Marte. And they annihilated us in the third game. We only had one solid victory in four tries. I can't bet against the Dodgers, but if we face them in the postseason, the smart money would take the odds and Zona.

Arizona is scoring runs against everyone despite missing Walker and Marte.

Outscoring (and outslugging) the opposition might be the only path to success for the Dodgers in the postseason.

In the playoffs ? Yeah, either one we face, it's a bloodbath for us. I have zero faith against either of them.
