well now they know how it feels
Evan Phillips has not given up an earned run since May 26th
Freeman is only the third Dodger in history to reach base 13 times in 3 games and the first since Paul Lo Duca(wow) in 2001
Followed the game on and off for 7.5 innings on gamecast.
Saw a miraculous clean inning from Kimbrel, then the incredible comeback. Phillips for closer please.
I don't take back what I've said about Belli and Alberto recently. They've received a 24 hr reprieve from the governor.
Like everyone else here I thought Muncy was toast after his HR bid drifted foul. Nice AB.
Freeman 11-13 the past three games. Fuck the All Star game. Get your rest Freddie.
The snub may be the best thing that could've happened...a springboard to a continuing HoF type career, and may the Dodgers reap the benefits in spades.
Yep. The ASG means nothing anymore. One of my greatest memories was sitting in the right-field bleachers with my father watching the All-Star Game in 1980 at Dodger Stadium. I don't know if I feel that way about any baseball games anymore...
As for players who don't get to go & feel butthurt about it... like you say, stay home and get your rest. Seeing these professionals running out of gas in October is pretty disgusting. Tell that to a farmer or a laborer who has to work whether they want to or not - sometimes year round - and they'll laugh in your face.
All my farmer kids herein Kentucky... their dads work on Christmas. Easter. Thanksgiving. Fathers Day. Cows gotta get milked. Eggs have to be collected.
I can't imagine that a major leaguer would want to go to more All-Star games but win no championships. I'd think the other way. But then egos matter, right?
Dakota (what?) Hudson has a 50/41 strikeout to walk ratio this season. Need to be patient at the plate and see if he gives us some free base runners. Max, do your thing.
Besides, getting his pitch count up gets us into their pen, which has proven vulnerable over the first two games.
Today's wgaf lineup ..
Mookie "All Betts Are Off"
Trea (not) Gay (yet) Turner
Freddie "Not working for" Freeman
Will "not slap Chris Rock" Smith
Justin "Time to GIDP" Turner
Jake "Rack of" Lamb
Max "Don't Call Me Chuck" Muncy
Cody "My Career Is Going Belli Up"
Gavin Lux Interior
Chris "hasn't been funny since Reagan was POTUS" Berman
i get wanting to get Max going w a hit and run after the sac fly last night but you just threw away another inning davey dumbfuck
teach the guy to bunt ffs
i sure hope the trade deadline/all star break is the end of this muncy/bellinger futility
it would be awesome for either one to come around but this is excruciating
i guess as long as the team keeps winning we get to see more whiffing
would seem both of them should be practicing bunting everyday
at least they could contribute something
With some defensive help, Anderson with a nice comeback game so far.
Offense looking a bit fongoolish tonight against this guy Dakota, or Wyoming...whatever.
C'mon put some up there...
anyone out there still want to dump Lux?
this ladies observations continually border on or are absolutely moronic
"why would the ump even question if a player said the ball hit them?"...
that should have been followed by an audible literal bitch slap by Davis
Great series win
Indeed, it is. Any time you can come out of St Louis with a series win, it's good.
Yet I can't help but feel like I did with the Padres series... that we wasted away the sweep.
Nice to see Anderson end the run subpar starts. They'd been on a great run before Julio's last start.
Mookie makes difficult plays look routine. That fly ball in gap wasn't an easy play and throw to get Carlson speaks for itself.
Lux isn't bad for a #9 hitter.
caught myself complaining about not sweeping them to mom after last nights win
no question we should have scored a lot more runs in game 1 but 2/3 against the birds still feels pretty good
now to punch out analheim
